  That 1990 Awake was a good find.One of the very few Awakes I actually read.

  IIRC, it started off well, giving some reasonable prosaic explanations for ufo sightings. Then the writing dept. had to wreck the rest of it with bringing in "the demonz" as possible agents too. Yeah..... like people couldn't be deceived by other people or even themselves.

  The above deals with D.U.M.B.S. - Deep underground military bases - 1400 worldwide, 131 in the US. Mention is made of M.I.E.C. - Military-Industrial Extra-Terrestrial Complex. Who inhabit the 7-plus underground levels and what are they doing? The claim is made that Eisenhower and Reagan [I believe other Prez also] knew of this - but this is "above top-secret" classification.

  NPR news mentioned on 17 January that it was the 50-something anniversary of Eisenhower's speech on the dangers of the MIC.

  I foresee the emergence of a cultural divide about UFOs. A number of nations are going to quietly

  accept their reality - while the US, in particular, does not. This is partly due to the influence of

  fundamentalist Christians in the US - as opposed to Buddhists in Asia and secular Europeans

  who don't have a problem with it. The French came within a hair's breadth of accepting ET reality

  with their "Cometa" report , interviewing scientists and military people - and finding fault with US

  policy on ET disclosure.

  I understand that Lord Hill plainly accepted the reality of ETs. Could anyone imagine

  how dramatic it would be if his current equivalent in the US did the same? ( Rumsfeld??!!)

  Newspapers in India talk about ETs in every day, ho-hum terms! ( India Daily)

  Trinity Quandary & Quantum Theory this is Danny Haszard's coming out thread on ET and space aliens I expected to be shot down in flames for daring to post.My ET position is subject to change any moment.

  My biggest problem with ET thing ( same with divine miracles) is the alleged lack of evidence,c'mon man an advanced race travels across interstellar space and their best show is an enigma like a crop circle?Same goes with ominpotent God who can only make a statute of Mary cry

  Sci fi has us conditioned to ET's who are advanced by a few centuries (Star Trex) if they exist they could me MILLIONS of years more advanced

  The biggest thing I have against these "aliens meet the president" stories is the unabashed and unreflexive way in which it is simply assumed that aliens would wish to meet the American president. Why on earth should that be so? Do aliens have an in depth understanding of geopolitics? Have they judged the American system the most powerful or the most fair or the most humane? On what basis?

  I rather fancy that aliens have carefully studied our systems of governance and wisely chosen contact with some 'primitive' egalitarian community in a third world country who have kept their confidence.

  I would say that hard evidence of ET reality is simply impossible, even in principle, aside from

  an outright weeklong landing in front of the UN building. Anything can be denied, spun or ignored.

  I do, however, look for emotional reality in the claims I read. For example, if the Eisenhower

  landing really took place, I would expect that the observers named would suffer shock afterwards.

  They would have nervous breakdowns, paralyzing depression or drink heavily. I doubt that even

  the Dalai Lama could react otherwise, after being confronted with such an event.

  Metatron:

  I had a UFO experience exactly 6 years ago. It was witnessed by 12 people. Three were family members. Five were JW-s from two different families that live about 5 miles apart but on the same trajectory. Three "worldly people" - a family that lived next door. One woman who lived accross the street.

  It consisted of a sound like a squadron of Jet Airplanes just above the house. The sound started in the SW and moved NE. It lasted 20 minutes. It was so loud the whole house rattled. Even in my basement office where I was working. My wife had hearing problems the next day - she was on the top floor. My son saw a bright sun-like object streak accross the sky in the NE after which the sound (which had been unbelievably loud for 10 of the 20 minutes) stopped abruptly. Other witnesses of the sound were on a line up to 5 miles SW of our house.

  On the night this happened MUFON reported their busiest night in UFO's all accross the US.

  Reports of similar "loud sound" experiences have been reported even back to the mid 1960's. Some of the loud sounds have been accompanied by observance of huge (300 feet long) craft just a couple hundred feet off the ground that suddenly took off in a flash and disappeared.

  Ezekiel 1:24 "And I got to hear the sound of their wings, a sound like that of vast waters, like the sound of the Almighty One, when they went, the sound of a tumult, like the sound of an encampment."

  Was this a blimp with a 1,000 watt amplifier? Kind of an expensive practical joke.

  Is this some secret US technology? Going back to the mid 1960's? What's the purpose - scare people in a major metro area?

  I am inclined to think that these craft are moving slow - either because they are going through some kind of refractory period to accumulate enough energy to carry out some critical maneurver or to make sure that they link up with some kind of coordinates or perhaps a beam. I personally don't believe these are necessarily genius level entities arriving from some huge distance. I think it makes more sense that there are parallel universes and they have discovered some fairly simple way to "jump" between various worlds.
