I don't think you should jump right into another relationship just yet, you will only get the same thing only in a different package. You really owe it to yourself to give yourself some time to heal........Say until you go to Las Vegas........Then I think YOU SHOULD GO CRAZY!........... LOL

Did you find out what restaurant she owns

I didn't get to find out any more because the cashier spoiled the mood by asking me for money. But I'll keep my eyes open around the pasta aisle from now on.

Wish I could visit you in England & party with you, I'm going through a divorce right now.

One way to consider meeting fellas (or gals - for you guys), is to sign up for one of the online dating services - like Match.com or Yahoo Personals.

There are a lot of scary people signed up, but if you are careful - you can meet some interesting people.

I met my wife this way.

I would recommend setting up a place to meet in a public place - like a coffee shop - that way if you need to scream for help - you can. (That's how I did it... ya never know if some gal is gonna attack ya or not...)

Anyway... take things slowly - you've got a lot of time - and the right fella will come along.

    Regards,

So how soon is too soon to get back into the dating scene?

There's no official period of mourning, so get back into it now. You must be ready, or you wouldn't be thinking about it. If only I were a few years younger...

MsMcDucket: Good place to meet guys, at the gym, bookstores like Barnes & Nobles, going to kid's ball games (single fathers try to go to their kid's games, older brothers like to watch their little brothers playing ball or what have you), church, at the park, popular eateries for lunch breaks, stock car races, gun shows, recovery from divorce workshops. . .

That's exactly why I avoided the 'recovery from divorce' workshops. I wasn't ready for a relationship and I didn't want to be surrounded by people who might be looking for relationships. I never thought women might be looking for men at gun shows. I thought that would be our last remaining safe haven. I'll have to make sure I look like a slob when I go to the Toronto Sportsmans show this week.

My god I never thought of going to a gun show to meet chicks I woulder why. Oh wait the all the other desperate guys with guns to boot.

How long did you leave it after the end of a long long relationship to move on?

It all depends what kept you so long in a long long relationship. Only you know if you can move on and start dating no one here can tell you that.
Hope you do find what you are looking for though, good luck! :)

Don't try so hard, the right one will come along when least expected and you are not trying to make something fit that doesn't
