As a kid, I liked Hans Solo from Star Wars. Independant, straight shooter, take-no-guff kinda guy.

Later on, I liked the Paul Atreides character in Dune, Deckard in Blade Runner and Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

    Duuuude!

I also liked Phineas J Woopee, of Tennessee Tuxedo fame. And speaking of that - Don Adams in Get Smart. I read all the books too.

Since I like detective stories with murder mystery suspence I always liked detective characters like Sherlock Holmes created by Doyle and Hercule Poirot the somewhat eccentric and pompous Agatha Christie character. Also liked the dynamic Indiana Jones character and his love of adventure.
