I love the movie ninja - although it caused great arguments one night when I asked Mr C to watch it with me and at the end he was furious as "there was not a proper ending". We didnt speak for two days! I concluded with my "donnie" afficianado that there are some people who need clear cut answers to everything to make sense and order of their lives and then there are those who don't - who like things open ended because it leaves more room for speculation and debate.
When I was a kid I read a lot of western novels, and liked the thought of blowing away the bad guys. I'm not so picky any more, and less violent, and am willing to broaden my definition of "bad guys" to include subway commuters during the morning rush hour. Head butting anyone who gets in my way would be sufficient.

Finally Free - Zane Grey type westerns??? I think you would make the perfect anti hero - thinking maybe Michael Douglas in Falling Down? XJW - I feel so dumb - I shoulda known that Winston was 1984!!! Greendawn - I loved agatha christie novels. I wanted to be a detective fiction writer just like her - I even went to a crime writers festival in yorskire a year or two back to learn more about it and to meet some writers. I read the first one The Thirteen Problem when I was 9 and avidly read all the rest (apart from the ones my parents said I couldnt because they had seances in them - ie The Pale Horse and The Hound of Death). Its the little grey cells!
