To anyone who is worried about shunning:
You should be worried, generally. But keep it in perspective.
Hell, I was treated worse than a disfellowshipped brother by my own first cousin/former best friend/former next-door neighbor/former barber due to a situation.
I had practice at some shunning.
And I am treated as a disassociated person/disfellowshipped person by elder's children, since the elders know about the dirt I have on them.
Others just think I am soooo spiritually weak.
Do what you need to do. The things you are fearing are bad, but they are not the end of the world.
A former "Bethelite" JW's friend of mine wants to "Disassociate".

booker-t asks: Any advice I could give him?
DA, DF, or fade... please just let him know we wish for his best outcome whichever path he chooses, he'll be in our thoughts, and he already has a groundswell of love and support here on JWD.
