There exist a few I still do truly care about, so certainly it would trouble me if something were to happen to them. Although I swore I would never attend the KH again, I would most likely attend their services. I feel it is very important to be the better person in these type of situations.

With the exception of a very few nice dubs I don't give a row of beans for the rest as to whether they are dead or alive, after all it's time those arrogant fools realise that they are subject to the same fate of mortality as everyone else.

Would they feel sorry if it were one of us that were sick and dying? I think the answer to that would be a big fat NO.

JWs don't even treat each other well around here. You are lucky if one or 2 send a card after you die...many excuse themselves by saying they didn't know or if it was announced, they were busy in God's service and forgot. And if the person that is sick or dying is a non-JW relative, forget any concern. After all, it increases their chances of being in the "new world" if they die now, right?

Personally, if I know the person or their relatives, we send a card. And if they die, we definitely send a card. One sister told us that when her non-JW husband died, she got 2 cards from JWs, one from us and one from her only inactive JW child. What a world, eh?

I feel very sad if I knew the person. A brother I knew well died a few months ago; I wrote a note and sent a Sympathy card to his mother and father. I received no response.

A family I knew lost two of their children in an automobile accident about three years ago. The Accident was due to foolish driving by other JW kids coming home from square dancing. I also wrote a letter to the parents. She told my daughters she appreciated it.

I still think about these people often. I'm glad I was able to let the families know I care.

Yes it still bothers me, I had a lot of nice friends or so I thought in the org, I know that many of them are just following "procedure" in not talking to me.

I wish no bad on anyone.

Yes, of course. Witnesses are not evil, they are controlled. Now when I hear of child abusers, rapists and co getting cancer et all (not that they ever seem to be affected by it) thats a different story
