I live on the Western edge of the Blue Mountains here in Washington State. Our Fish and Wildlife department released wild turkeys both in the Blue Mountains, and the range of mountains that lie to the North of the Columbia River, (Washington side) near The Dalles, and Hood River Oregon.
The hunters here enjoy both a spring and fall hunt for turkeys now.
We are seeing some "strange" creatures here in the Blues too. (No not the Susquatch man.), but Moose! More and more are pushing their way down from British Columbia and a cow moose was seen several times last year, wandering on the golf course here, just north of the city.

Welcome ramtrucker to the forum! I wonder if he likes Dodge trucks??
I love talking turkey! LOL < OUTLAW'S favorite expression LOL
Turkey hunting season is over in Wisconsin. Not very many were taken. I think they're getting smart! LOL!
I love the flavor of moose meat. Makes an excellent, rich gravy... A very lean, heart-healthy red meat.

Outlaw; I did indeed dig deep to find this thread. I get to wandering around on this website, liking to read the experiences of others, and occasionally find something I like to share.
Juni; I do indeed like Dodge Trucks, although to be honest, I've owned a few Ford trucks. Never owned a General Motors truck tho.
Actually I'm an old diehard Mopar fan. I still have the '41 Plymouth Pickup my father bought brand new, in Eastern Oregon when I was 5 months old.
