Testing a Hypothesis...

I am interested in getting solid and sound refutations from athiests, agnostics, and critically thinking Christians on the following.

Take a sheet of paper. On that sheet draw a circle. In the middle of the circle, place a dot. The dot represents you, and the area of the circle represents your knowledge. Some where outside of the circle write a capital letter "G." Is it possible that God could exist outside of your realm of knowledge?

Please offer your reasoned and sarcastic rebuttals.

    Much thanks.

I like the premise for discussion.

I am certainly in the "it is possible" group. I reject organized religion, but I don't reject those people
who want it or feel the need for it. I just reject it for myself.

I feel that the Bible is Man's word written or edited mostly by people of organized religion to manipulate
the masses. But the Bible could be a big test from God, who knows?

At one time I felt that God was directing my life, giving me guidance from the moment (at my weakest) when
I asked him to do that. I was being misled by a mind-control cult, instead. So now, I won't know what God's
will for me is unless he comes and presents it to me, personally. Otherwise, I will try to live a good life, and
most beliefs teach that God forgives ignorance if a person is good. (Well, JW's don't teach that, but most do.)

I will find out on the other side what the truth is, or I won't. Either way, there I'll be.

    Of course it's possible

    Anything is possible

I haven't discounted that God exists, for I don't know.

I cant say for sure that he doesn't exist.

    I am not closeminded,

if there is strong evidence presented for either a God, or No God, then I will base my beliefs on the facts presented.

Do the same experiment substituting pink flying unicorns with buckets of gold coming out there arse instead of god.

Those are inside my circle. I have seen them. They are out there.

Ooops, the letter G landed on the sheet behind the sheet I drew the circle on. Do you give a sheet?

You won't find God. Not because he is imaginary like unicorns. You might find a unicorn somewhere in the universe because it is possible that somewhere there is a horse like animal with one horn. We actually know of animals with 2 horns so 1 horn isn't a big stretch.

But God is not just an imaginary being he is a logically impossible being. If such a being appeared to us it would be impossible to determine whether he/she/it is either all knowing or all powerful.

The other problem is that as humans have grown in knowledge more and more things have been transferred from the God column to the nature column.

    That trend will continue.

Very interesting. But the G exists outside of everyone's circle of knowledge. If there is a G outside the circle and no one can see it or prove it, is it really there?

I thinkknow there is a G out there. I think it's called faith.
