Hi donnalee. Welcome to the forum.
My wife is one of those lovely people that you would meet at such an occasion. As long as there is some hope that you may become a JW she will be your very best friend and I am sure you would love her.
But....
....If you start asking her questions that she cannot answer truthfully, without compromising her belief that the Watchtower is 'Jehovah's sole channel of communication', she turns very nasty. Jekyll & Hyde. She will use every trick that the Watchtower accuses other religions of using to deceive you into thinking that the Watchtower teaches something that it does not.
I was brought up in this religion, but never baptised.
My wife hides her WT literature from me, (She is an apostate Anglican).
I asked my daughter for copies of the WT while my wife was away on holiday and she refused to give them to me. My daughter will give them away for free to people she has never met before, but she won't give them to her own father.
All of my life my family has been wanting me to study the Watchtower. Now that I am 55 years old and am studying the WT, my family won't talk to me about it and won't even give me a copy to study.
Please be very careful.
Cheers
Chris
