If science could let you live forever, would you take it?

It would probably be REALLY expensive, everyone would want it.

I'd pay for my family first, then myself. So long as they live forever, I'm happy.

I'd love to fully explore the world. It's just too big for one lifetime.

As a theist, I think I would take the risk and go for the afterlife. A few months ago I would have taken it for sure, but now that my hope lies in being with God, if I was to live forever, knowing I could never reach him would be hell for me!

If I'm wrong, and there's no afterlife, but the dead are conscious of nothing at all, then I'm never gonna find out, so a wrong choice won't affect me!

Would taking such treatments be considered an abhoration of God's creation?

Sure, but I'd have to drop my work to a four day week; after all, what's the rush?

I would take it. Living now or taking a chance on the after life? Ill take the after life after I live forever. If science every figures out how to enable us to live forever. Greedy men and corrupt governments will be in line to put an end to our eternal lives. Would taking such treatments be considered an abhoration of God's creation? If there is a God, he is in control and will only allow what he wants.

    I'd take it.

I have so many things that I want to experience and do (like travel the world), I dont think 30 more years is enough time to do it all...

Afterlife aside, I suspect that it wouldn't stay a mere option very long. Religious and secular "humanism" would soon make it morally and legally mandatory. Talk of a hell scenario.

From the JW experience I have learnt that mere belief in everlasting life can turn people uglier than they need to be. The actual possibility would not be a pretty sight imho.

I strongly believe that the best of ourselves (individually and collectively) is directly related to our conciousness and certainty of death. But, to be honest, I wouldn't even trust myself to choose death (at least before a long time and reaching unprecedented lows in self-disgust) were it only an option.
