  Here's my non-confrontational suggestion. Call one of the elder's home phone number- when you are pretty sure
  he won't be home. Block your number if necessary. Leave a message. Say that your neighbor mentioned the
  nicely-dressed men stopping by your home a few times. Say "I am fine. It's just that ..... (whatever excuse you
  are using to miss meetings, or even that you just need to be at home alone). Please, don't keep calling as the
  neighbors find it strange. I will call if I need assistance."
