    Count me in, I'll need to pick up a scale to see how much I weigh though. Looking to lose ~15 lbs

    I began my diet a week ago I have to go down by 8 Kg which is 18 LB. I don't follow any particular diets such as Atkins etc instead I plan my own 2000 calories maximum with 120 minutes of brisk walking each day, no cakes, biscuits, chocolates, crisps (chips USA) limited quantities of nuts, butter and oils. The rest is a little of everything adding up to the 2000 calory limit.

    I usually lose a few pounds in the summer time, because I eat less, and I'm much more active.

    My weight is fine, but I notice that I weigh more every year.

    My BMI is 20 and I am 94 kilos but could shed 5 or so. Just need to be more regular in the gym. A partner is a great way to not flake on going to the gym. Ask me, I flake and have no partner!

    Ok, so my first day, I do good, and stay the same.

    Yesterday, all I had was a large salad for lunch, and a plate of fresh veggies for dinner, (and walked 2 miles.) Im out of shape big time.

    Today im up 1 lb! Maybe I should stay off the scale for a week, and then look!

    Beware of fruit! Just because it's natural, doesn't mean it's useful in losing weight. Replace the apples with veggies.

    Other things to avoid when dropping weight: bread (especially white), pasta, potatoes, white rice, beer, condiments, salad dressing.

    Things that are useful in losing weight: fish, chicken, lean ground beef, vegetables (especially the green kind), tomato juice, water

    Also, count me in! I've already begun. I was sitting at 180lbs. I'm down to 177 and I'm hoping to hit 170 (I get a bonus if I hit 165 )

    Wow, I'd love to lose weight so I'd feel better about myself. I think that no matter what age we are, we never stop thinking about how we look. Sign me up for 10 lbs! Thank god summer is here and I love veggies from the garden. That should help, and maybe I can even convince myself that I can do without some of the junk I crave. Great idea, Unconfused. j.w.d.

    Cool i actually started a wieght loss program on the 19th...i just got on the scale yesterday and too my surprise lost 10lbs!!! I wanna lose10-20 more. So far with the occasional slip up i've been eating slim fast vannilla shake for breakfast apple sause for snacks and lean cuisine for lunch and dinner those joints taste GREAT (most of them anyway) I wanted to be down to 145 by my birthday in june or if not by the end of july(im thinking about getting a belly ring) anyway i wanna look good in my bikini again i have it hanging up in my room for inspiration lol (you know the ittsy bittsy little polka dot bikinini commercial lol) anyway im trying to stay focused!!!!!

    Good luck to everyone and i'll keep you all posted about my progress too. laterz
