oh yea i forgot to mention that i was working out like a mad women for a few weeks so far...cardio weights ....a mix between the elliptical trainer, The Firm video's and Taebo.

Some comment son what I read further up on this thread:
Fruit is not a fattening food to be avoided they typically contain 40-60 calories (exceptions bananas 90, avocados 120 calories) per 100 grams which is on the low side as food goes. Chicken and lean beef or pork are about 160 calories per 100 grams.
Going on a 1000 calorie diet is very dodgy because it is virtually impossible to obtain all the necessary nutrition with so little food, nutritional supplements are a must in this case.

Hi I'm one step ahead of you, I joined Weight Watchers 9 weeks ago and have already lost 13lb. I still have 15 to go though, then I will weigh 9 stone and then I will be happy with my weight.

Well, mine is a winter weight loss program, and I'm taking mine very slowly. I want to lose 1kg per month for a year or two; perfectly doable with a few minor lifestyle changes. I don't get the massive weightloss thing, it seems unsustainable. You want to introduce changes that you're going to keep for life.
But hey, whatever floats your boat. I'm in.

I've gone from 172 to 166 and my BMI from 26.9 to 26 How is everyone else doing?

At my heaviest weight I was 223 lbs., I'm 5'11". I actually got down to 162 lbs and have been told that I look too thin. So, I am going to try and get up to 170-175 and maintain that weight. I don't want to buy anymore new clothes until I know I can maintain my weight at one level. All my clothes are so big on me now. It's funny because I look like a gangsta with my pants falling down and my boxers hanging out the top. Hopefully, I will buy a nice new wardrobe this fall.
I lost the weight by following the South Beach Diet and didn't really change my exercise habits. I have always liked walking and hiking in the woods. I think I should begin a weight program to tone my muscles. I don't like how small my arms got.
