    Min,

If calling a spade a spade is judging, color me guilty.

Min doth protest too much, methinks.

OK, guilty of judging is the judgment! BTW, I love furs on women too. The bigger the better! Love veal too.

    Well, min,

At least you are honest about your indifference towards your fellow man.

BA- Prefers to sleep soundly at night.

    PS:

Indifference is the essence of inhumanity. -George Bernard Shaw

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny.
Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. - Martin Luther King, jr.

“Indifference may not wreck a man's life at any one turn,
but it will destroy him with a kind of dry-rot in the long run” - William Bliss Carman

Indifference, to me, is the epitome of evil. -Elie Wiesel

The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil,
but because of the people who don't do anything about it. - Albert Einstein

The most distressing aspect of the world into which you are going is its indifference to the basic issues,
which now, as always, are moral issues. - Robert Maynard Hutchins

    The worst sin towards our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them;
that's the essence of inhumanity. - George Bernard Shaw, The Devil's Disciple

I sleep well. and I don't care if I'm indifferent. I still love those beautiful dazzling diamonds!

Remember Confucious say:Many men smoke but FuManChu......Definetly something to ponder along with Shaw's writings.

Whew! Powerful pics! Terrible really. Can you get some of the slaughterhouses too? Can you get some pics of how veal cutlets are made. You know, once you post that info, you can guilt people into not eating cutlets. And about those furs, please get some video to show how horrible people are if they wear fur. And make sure you buy nothing out of Chinatown. All that stuff is made by persons who live in virtual slavery. And those poor Indian kids who are forced to work ridiculous hours without hardly a break just to satisfy someone's desire for clothing. You might as well edumacate everyone. and smoking too. Get some pictures of smoker's lung and how anyone that smokes or sells tobacco is a awful person. And booze. Get those who serve it, and sell it to be responsible for all the misery they cause.

    Excellent Minimus - Common sense!

    Diamonds are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

The diamond industry employs more people worldwide than the motor industry!

The diamond industry in South Africa not only provides employment, but schools, roads, hospitals etc, in essence it supplies infrastructure.

Diamonds always have a resale value - imitations do not.

Yes the mark up is high, but if you are a retailer and have to hold a milliond pounds worth of stock and only turn it's value over once a year, it doesn't take Einstein to work out that you need a healthy profit margin.

If everyone stopped buying diamonds the world will be a poorer place - every diamond is totally unique.

Good on you Minimus, keep up the voice of reason.

Anyone who can equate murder with killing animals is either a moron, completely dishonest, or both.

If diamonds are intrinsically worth so much, why aren't they released in the free market to decide their speculative value?

If diamonds are intrinsically worth so much, why aren't they purchased (from suckers who bought them) by dealers for more than 10-15% of their retail value (if a consumer can even find a dealer who will buy them)?

Diamonds- a very bad investment, unlike other precious stones and metals.

Diamonds- supporting mutilation, war, terrorism, and genocide.

Comparing diamonds to fur, veal, tobacco, etc- intellectual dishonesty or sheer stupidity?

    BA- Exposing dishonesty and ignorance.

BA, there you go again! (I feel like Ronald Reagan). So you've judged me as either being a moron, completely dishonest or both. But that's right. You don't judge. God told you so.

You know what I think. You probably got burned purchasing a diamond for someone who rejected you, you went to a jeweler to get your money back and you found out they'd only give you a fraction of what you paid. You seem to be so strongly anti-diamond yet you don't care about animal cruelty. Making a comparison renders one a moron....Nah, you've been burnt. I hope you never buy a car and try to sell it afterward. Or you'll be railing against how car manafacturers are building unsafe cars and all they're after is your money. Autos are a poor investment too.

Certainly not all diamonds support terrorism, mutilation, war and genocide.

I think it's funny that you'll vehemently take up this cause while ignoring the poor little animals.

    Min,

Again, you dishonestly sidestep the issue.

You won't dare be educated, or even pretend to have a retort to the issues brought up, now will you?

Instead, go on building strawmen- I'm bored with your infantilism.

I can see now why you usually start fluff threads- it suits you much better.

    BA
