Arthur:
I spent 3 weeks in the late 80's as a temp construction volunteer UNPaid slave labor for the Borg working on that building with the Paint crew... and they were very picky about how the work was done...even though most of my work was covered up later anyway with drop ceilings and interior walls (the paint overseer's reasoning for this was that "if the building was ever reused it would look good to the new owners and be an honor to Jehovah"....blah blah blah..did not know he was a prophet....more accurate than the GB...what foresight!, knowing it would get reused someday)
... I helped strip the old paint off the walls and ceilings on floors 7 and 8 (plumbing dept, laundry) and trim painted around those very windows with a view...it was a mess when they got that building.
.....so I did get to enjoy a beautiful view of the skyline.... too bad I did not have a camera (I was a poor pioneer back then, the congo paid for the plane ticket from the midwest to NY).
so, when the new developers stripped out all of the interior walls and ceilings, etc to get back to bare exterior walls to build the condos, they can see my handiwork.... ahhhhh...NOT!
I wonder how many thousands of man hours all of us temp workers spent that went to lining the pocket of the Borg?
