To begin with, these overseers were all anointed Christian men. At Revelation 1:16, 20, those who served on bodies of elders within the anointed congregation were symbolized by "stars" or "angels" in Christ's right hand, that is, under his control. In this time of the end, however, with the number of anointed overseers still on earth ever dwindling, the vast majority of Christian elders in the congregations are of the other sheep.

Sounds like Jesus needed a lesson in inventory control - just at the worst possible time (of the end) he runs out of anointed and has to use the inferior 'other sheep' for the top jobs. Damn! I hate when that happens! It's like inviting everybody over for dinner and running out of roast beef so you have to serve 'em peanut butter sandwiches instead.

This article makes it obvious how much the GB has gone "beyond what is written" in scripture. What scriptural basis is there to even show that "annointed elders" would even exist in modern times? Their world is crumbling. The GB who are supposd to be annointed are dying (literally). How many can claim to be newly annointed to replace the GB? How long til the rank and file catch on that this arrangement of endless rules of a cult society has "had its day" and its over? The GB and "faithful and discreet slave" are being revealed for not knowing anything found in scriptures that relates to our modern day. They have profoundly strayed from the scriptures and the teachings of Jesus, and there is no going back.

I was one of three local elders and five bethel elders. It was the bethel elders who did not take a liking to what I said from the platform.

How dare you for running ahead of the org. and not giving them a chance to deny . They seem to really hate being put on the spot and not giving Jehovah a chance to intervene ........................

    9) What, though, if we are not convinced that in a certain case the elders' direction is the best way of doing things? That is where submission comes into play. It is easy to obey when everything is clear and we agree, but we will show that we are truly s ubmissive if we yield even when we do not personally understand the direction provided. Peter, who later became an apostle, showed this kind of submission .-Luke 5:4, 5.

    MIND CONTROL!

yeppers . They forget to mention that Peter wasn't being lied to and having his belief system changed time and again by a bunch of "imperfect men" in Brooklyn NY . The apostle Paul allowed for dissent in the church whilst this article is clearly trying to crush any dissenters will and force conformity on them .

Mr. Flipper here, my 22 year old son and I confronted the elders at a JC appeal meeting about this article and told them it was unjust to insist that the rank and file obey the elders even if the elders were doing something wrong against the governing bodies way of looking at things. We asked," Would you jump off a cliff if the elders told you to?". They said," It's not for us to discipline the elders if they go astray. Jehovah (biggest catch phrase in the universe) will take care of it in his due time and bring justice. We just have to obey and recognize His authority through the ( belch) elders." We said," That's ridiculous reasoning, crazy actually." But as ya all know it's like talking to somebody who has been put on a strong sedative or valium. They are there in body, but nobody is home upstairs if you know what I mean. All we can hope for is the rank and file develop minds and start thinking on their own and get out of this dangerous mind controlling cult. Thanks. Peace out.

Most of the people at the WT Study will parrot this info. and have not a clue as to how dishonest the WTS is in their applications of these scriptures.

And always the "imperfect men" routine. Yet they make no such allowance for ministers in other churches.

The truth is the GB doesn't want any Rank and File witness making waves about the idiotic and sometimes criminal performance of the "men" whom they "appoint."

Yep....sit there obediently, nod and smile.....stick a hand up to answer like a dutiful JW....and then go home with this "lifesaving information" tucked inside their fully overloaded heads.....

Apparently....THINKING is not on their list of "things to do today"....

    Good work, Blondie!

    hugs,
