WTF are they even out in service for?

Hey hey! Been a while since I've started a topic. I've been gone for a long time and just check in from time to time but I had to comment on this.

I've seen witnesses out in service twice in the last two weeks and both times was ignored. Neither time did they even attempt to talk to me or give me their crap liturature. Now I don't mean shunned I mean strangers who didn't know me and they DIDN'T TRY TO WITNESS TO ME AT ALL!

Ok, I was on a motorcycle trip from Jax fl up to NY and back and stopped in Virginia (I doubt that my rep has gone that far LOL) anyway leaving my hotel in the morning I saw a minivan full o' witlesses. One of them was in the lobby leaving maggettzines. I intentionally stopped at the counter and said good morning to the witness to see if she would offer anything... Nope. I walked out past the van and said "hi" to at least 5 witnesses in the van. Corus of "HI's!" No offer, no attempt to speak, I caught one brothers eye and he kind of looked embarrassed and looked away! Why no offer? Seemed odd. (I did go back into the hotel and threw all the watchtowers away)

I got home from my trip and a few days later I drive up to my house and see two witnesses leaving my house. I pull up as they walk up my drive. I get out and say "hello" they look at each other then say "hello" and WALK ON BY... Now I don't live anywhere NEAR my old territory I've no idea who these sisters were, they just weren't interested in speaking to me. This begs the question. WHY ARE THEY EVEN OUT THERE? I mean really? I remember hating to speak to anyone but COME ON!

Obviously they're only out in service to do the "pioneer shuffle" and count time ... who really wants to talk to anyone anyway? If I were you, I'd be elated to be ignored! I wish they would ignore me ...

Maybe they are trying to witness "without saying a word". You just look at them and see what a great example they are setting by being out in the lord's work.

I remember when I used to go out on the preach, I wouldn't start something that I wasn't in control of from the start: it's somehow still a big surprise when they open the door and see a JW, but if they see you coming they can prepare themselves so I don't have a chance. I just walk on by.

So you expect for them to go up to and start talking to you just because you said hi? lol, you are a moron. Why would they want to talk to you in the first place? Just because you say hi and wave it doesn't they are going to start talking to you. I wouldn't either if I would find you somewhere and you would just wave. I would wave back but that's it.

Maybe the tower has come up with new light to detect bad eggs.

I have to make this comment. I feel it was not right for R6 to call MKR a moron, so I'm hoping he called him that in jest. When I was in the troof, we were taught to take every opportunity to make a witness. Even a smile coming your direction would be a invite to witness,even more so a verbal statement of "Hi" or a wave! I can see a witness or two not making any contact, but a mini-van of witnesses!What is this world coming to!! lol

Its sad really. Since the WTS has changed the "Generation" thing, the end of the world could be way way into the future now. So there is no need to preach to people now, just put in TIME so the elders won't take them into the back room for a reaming session.
