ok i just did a count of about 60-70 jw kids, with in about 10 years of my age( either way,), that i know their families \very well. i count half moved out of new york city. and are not jw's, i have about 6 faders that just go to the memorial. and maybe a meeting or two and still live at home. and maybe 4 hard core jw's . the rest have all left. if i call my siblings i'm sure to get bigger numbers that left. i know my brother has had sex with about half of the circuit. them jw fading sisters just love him. guess he finally getting something from all them beating at the halls !!!! the last times i went to some of the 5 local halls were I know most of the people about 6 yr's ago. I only saw a few from my teen years that i remembered , all new faces, but all the old timers were still there.

As has been repeatedly testified to in these "pages," the numbers we know about are fake (i.e., hours reported in "service") so why would you believe all the other numbers are genuine?

You may see this particular feature on a local (country) level. Just check the KM on the cd-rom. For a particular country I found the period 1995/2003 to show 5400 babtized but no increase, meaning 5400 quiters Plus a significant group of slackers(6%). This shows great potential for further growth......in decrease.
When I checked the KM of the 70, the reports showed a country target of publishers. Before 75 it showed a target less than the actual publishers. Asof 75 they showed a target higher than the actual number. After 75 the deviation between target and actual became more and more apparent, so they quit with this. It is very interesting to see a number of 30.000 publishers in 75 and 30 years later, not a single digit has changed.
Except for the number of babtized of course........and that went away.......

However, just like any other apocalyptic group, time is against them. As the world continues on, day after day, year after year, with no Army-geddon in sight, people will inevitably lose interest therefore change and readjustment become necessary. The WT's tactic so far has been to push Armageddon into the unknown (but real soon!) future. Even this will wear thin in time.

The worldwide publisher report is the raison d'entre for the existence of the Governing Body. Everything they do is subordinated towards the prime objective of keeping the worldwide publisher stats in the black. The GB's corporate mission is singularly to ensure that these figures never go into the red. So don't expect them to go down soon.

These are then compiled into a world report which is studied and analyzed for any signs of weakening.
