  Hi Koph,

  I have been in exactly the same position as you, and I have managed to not get DF'd or DA'd.

  Heres how I did it: Even though I was angry, hurt and amazed at the hypocrisy of the organisation, I realised that the Elders will not feel the same as me. They will judge you only for the fact that you have viewed apostate literature / websites and they will consider your mind is "twisted". Remember that point.

  I did not feel ready to leave for good, so I told them

  1. I *accidentally* came across the information on the net. I thought it was an *official* site at first.

  2. I was upset and disturbed by it, and realise now that I may have over-reacted.

  3. I want answers to the questions (thats why I've been asking) because I would like to be able to faithfully serve Jehovah again without these doubts.

  You see, if you convince them that your motive is to serve Jehovah, and you listen humbly to their so called *answers* they will find it nearly impossible to DF you. They didnt DF me.

  Im having a few problems at the moment because of the UN query, and its true that once they suspect you of apostacy they keep a close eye on you. I think that if you do what I've said, that will buy you some time until you feel you are ready to leave for good.

  I understand how you are feeling, it hurts a lot to be branded a *lying apostate in the grip of the devil* just because you ask simple questions. They will not answer your questions satisfactorily, so you might aswell accept that fact and eat humble pie when they come to see you.

  Koph, it seems that right now the only thing that is keeping you from disassociating yourself is the fact that you rent from a witness and housing is not easy to find.

  Almost everyone before me has posted excellent suggestions about how to keep from being df'd right now. I would start looking for a new place to live, that way, if it does come down to you getting the ax, you will already have a place.

  You have a very difficult road ahead of you. No one can know what it's like to be in your position until they have gone through it themselves.

  The elder were here but I open the door not! They know not that I am at home!

  A sister called me by sms and we spoken about the WTS! She is shocked really and had much doubt last years. I had " saved " her because she is almost herself disassociate. she wrote me a long email last spring! I had encouraged to consider again! She felt not good in the congregation that is why I asked about the reason. She asked me about my opinion. Then I told her about my doubt and we spoken about the wrong translation of NWT, UNO, occult picture in the WTS! She said it is good that I researched more and I should do in the future. She know now that I am dangerous for the elder! She will keep to me if it will happen to get the consequez. I am glad! She asked me where is the truth and I said: Joh 14:6! At Tuesday we will talk further!

  Hi, from Florida. I've been following this thread. Amazing has very good advice. I agree with TweetieBird. Stall until you can get other living quarters. Many of us have been through it and understand your trauma. Our prayers are with you. Keep in touch.

  A hour ago the elder want to visit to me and I opened the door not! Terrible not to have a rest by the elders! It is the second time since yesterday. I must endure further and I feel really better than I looked more to check the NWS better to compare with the Greek - Interlinear Translation.

  Today in the congregation a elder have a talk in the service meetings about the obey heart! He spoke about the danger of the internet. I noticed he thought about me that is why I felt surely.

  I felt that a brother observes me how I communicate with anyone! But I am cautious now and will examine further the scriptures. In the next two weeks we have a visit of CO for the deafies. I am nosey what the CO will speak with me!
