And China is the "king of the North"

So, lets apply this to China

11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

I wonder which countries China would overflow and pass over? Taiwan? Japan? South Korea?

China has gained some power and influence but it can't be described as a superpower even if it has an enormous population because it lacks in military technology and nobody can tell for sure what will happen after 40 or 50 years in this sector.

    it lacks in military technology

Russia is happy to sell its advanced technology to China who has the money to pay for it.

Using metatron's expression, Bible prophecy was already "kaput" before there was something called "Bible".

It's fairly amusing, though, that (American?) people seem to consider it more natural to read America into the Bible texts than China... Don't you think it more likely that some Jews had heard of China (through Persians, Greeks and Romans) rather than of America? It's easy to prophesy that if China becomes the next world power it will have been foretold by Bible prophecy...

After intensive scholarly study of the book of Daniel I have determined that the King of the North is Liechtenstein, and the King of the South is Andorra.

"and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. "

So if you live in France, Switzerland, maybe even Italy, and Spain be prepared for the Liechtensteiner hordes! Try not to get run over by any ships.

I wonder which part of the statue of Nebucanezar refers to China?

The pointy palladium hat of the statue described in 2nd Daniel, duh.

I think with the onslaught of global warming,it's gonna shake out like this:

Every reasonable person knows that that's when The End shall arrive. In 3000 C.E. Then, The King of the North, The Eskimo Federation, attacks The King of the South, Greenland.

Which light are we using now? It's hard to keep track...

I find the China situation confusing, don't think the WTS was prepared for them to come up in such a strong force as they are. If Bush gets indicted, how does that fit? Out Prime Minister is pretty much out, he's accepting that & largely to do with his strong alliance with Bush. Blair is out, none of that seems to fit with the Dubs although I'm sure they'll find a way to make them fit.
