Congrats! You've worked long and hard. I got my bachelors degree 10 years after high school. I decided I had time because it didn't look like the end was coming. I did it while still in the organization. I took a lot of comments from elders and most of the brothers and sisters never got over it and threw it in my face. But they can't disfellowship you for going to college, although they can be very nasty. But it was well worth it.
With your degree, you'll have many more opportunities now. Enjoy!

Congratulations Shawn! Yep, I'm going through for my BA now----something I should have done 20 years ago . I can only do it part time as I work full time, so I'll probably be in a Nursing Home by the time I'm done.

Shawn you should be very proud of yourself. All my children are in college right now. I pay for their apartments etc. I don't know how kids do it without help. You sure are an inspiration. Good luck..life is just beginning for you.
