Keep reading. Read these boards, maybe something will reach your heart, or
cause your "Disgust meter" to peak with the WTS. Read websites that discuss the
dates, history, blood, disfellowshipping, NWT, changing doctrines.

Read any (really all) of the following books and look for more:
Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz
In Search of Christian Freedom by Ray Franz
Combating Cult Mind Control by Steve Hassan
Releasing the Bonds by Steve Hassan
Captives of a Concept by Don Cameron

I am currently reading a book that has nothing to do with religion, but is eye-opening
called Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me) by Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson.

Go to the "15 minute guide to truth" at jwfacts.com then look at the rest.

If you really don't know how to escape, these will sustain you. You can ask on this
board how others have managed. They love advice-giving. Weigh it carefully, as it
might not be perfect advice for your situation.

OTWO, very good advice! The worst thing a person can do is shut themselves out of information. The Watchtower compares anything negative of Witnesses as "spiritual pornography". Even if all you're doing is making direct QUOTES, they'll try to shut you down! If one has the truth, they should not be afraid of "making sure of all things". But they want people to simply accept whatever they say----whether it be right or wrong. THAT is simply not right.

Someone said to me, how many times does someone have to slap you in the face before you make sure to stand out of slapping range when you are around them?

I finally figured out the only way to quit having the organization and its reps and members keep "slapping me in the face" was to get out of slapping range.

How many slaps can the person endure? It varies.

And a lot of persons have been "slapped" by the Organization. What's worse is that even when they admit that they erred and disfellowshipped someone improperly, they would not expunge their action and admit they made a mistake. No, that person would have to go through the "theocratic channels" and seek reinstatement. Those that might've gotten df'd for having oral sex with their MATE! or because they accepted an organ transplant would still have to go before the elders and only then, would they be able to fellowship with others in the Hall.

    Talk about being "slapped"!

Let's not forget to help someone this weekend. Be a Good Samaritan and help a Witness.

    Not yet minimus.

But I did write my letter.

I planned to simply mail it.
