Now, I am telling you, I was a HUGE nerd. Goofy, backwards and a overlyshy at times and yet painfully goofy girl. I dropped out at 14 years old, first sememster of high school. I went from a straight A student to a straight F student. Life had gotten really bad. So I home schooled for 6 months maybe? I went from freshman to Sr in those 6 months. 2 classes from the end I never finished.
So I went back after marrying and two children later at 22 years old. I got my GED.
Last year I graduated with a Bachelors of Science/Business Administration. I think I will go back possibly for my masters ...Not sure in what by October. Just gotta do it.

I was quiet and shy, a bit of a nerd and always out of touch with what was popular or fashionable. I got good grades and left in time to go to university.

I was really quiet, but not shy. Usually had boyfriends older than I was. Either seniors or way beyond high school. The only way I was ever caught, was someone's bible study at high school would see me in the hall way with someone and report it to their family, which was immediately reported to the elders.
I cut a lot of classes in my Junior/Senior years with girl friends. School wasn't important and it was the only way I had a social life. Armageddon was coming so what was the point. My parents could have cared less about school. I felt it was the last chance I had for a social life as I was suppose to pioneer the minute I graduated.
Too bad, so sad, I was disfellowshiped in January of my Senior year. I just quit school with 1 class left to take. The Dfing was appealed and reversed by March of that same year but it had destroyed me. I took my final class at the local college and received my diploma in time.
I didn't pioneer, and continuing college was not an option. I was asked to leave the house that fall at age 17. I had an older cousin who was married with small children who came to visit at that time and she rescued me. I left home and started my life with their family. I will never forget her saying to me "You are safe now!" She had been raised a witness but had left many years previous.
I made my way starting with them and never went back.

During my high school years, I would have hardly won any popularity contests!
Then, as for much of my adult life too, I was plagued by feelings of shyness and low self esteem
(As an aside, my time in the Borg scarcely helped that situation by one iota!)
I was never much of an athlete - the only thing that I was any good at was long distance running, where I was usually amongst the first two or three over the finish line.
With academic studies, I was more sucessful; being always either Top of the Class, or "Second General Excellence."
In the external School Certificate examinations that year (equivalent of Grade 10), I achieved the highest marks in the school.
At the end of the following year,a large company offered to sponsor me through university, to study for a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
However, the elders got to work on my father - and the net result was that I did not even begin
(let alone complete!) the final year of high school.
No mistaking it:
- The End was coming in 1975,and that was only four years away!
("Food at the Proper Time" for sure.)

I was very shy in H.S.- I hated it. I only went 1 year in high School because of certain things that happened. Maybe one day I will have the guts to share why, but it wont be anytime soon. I went on to pursue higher education but I haven't finished yet. I will though. If only I can decide on what I REALLY want to do with my life.

Way to go girl! It'll be a while before I graduate....you wanna hear a good one? I got an email from the Registrar's Office a couple of months ago telling me I can't take any more courses until I pass the English Language Proficiency test. I figured it was an erroneous email. After all, I was born and raised here----English is my first and only language and the English language tests are generally for foreign students where English is their second language right? Wrong. That would be 'discrimination' so everyone who's enrolled has to take the test. What really pisses me off is that they sent it to me two days after the test was scheduled for the Spring Term. It's not available to take now until the Fall term.......

Why-------don't you want to pioneer in the short time that's remaining?! Surely that's the only reason to pursue 'higher education'-----so you can work part time, live in poverty as you slave away for free labour for a multi-billion dollar corporation.

I was a nerdy nutsack polisher....and still am. Here's a pic of my teachers pet hog we put to sleep and I shinned it's nutsack before I tried it out on the students. I only had on my first coat of clear wax in this pic. Damn witnesses wouldn't let me go to college.

Actually, here's a picture of Gumby and Warlock when they were pioneering in high school. Gumby only did the nut shining on the side to help support himself doing God's work. Warlock buffed buns.
