To Uncle Bruce and all,

Thank you very much for your kind responses. I don't have much time, so I must be brief.

I was given an extension until Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. to get out. Although I am current on my rent as of today, the owner is being a jerk and I'm just too beaten-down to even try to fight him. I could legally challenge him, but he would just change the locks and say "so sue me." He's not mad at me, even though he is a jerk. I've done nothing to him. He just signed a great lease with a long-term tenant and wants to do anything to appease him. I'm expendable.

I don't even have a temporary home for my large parrot and his very large cage. The critter shouldn't have to suffer, but it looks like he will. The owner has offered to loan me enough money to rent a room someplace else for a week, so in his own way, he's trying to be helpful.

I will have to spend this weekend packing and trying to find a place to store my non-essential stuff. Whatever room I can find will not have a phone, so it will be difficult to communicate. I have someone who can communicate my situation to my friends in here through the Net, but I won't have access.

Since I don't have any new address, I have nothing to give out. Although, for the next week or so, anyone who is willing and can help, they will accept mail where I'm staying now:

Otherwise, Uncle Bruce has my absolute and total confidence and trust, if any of you want to help through him. So does AlanF, NormH, Kent Steinhaug, "Trilobyte", Maximus, Wasasister, Sissowuzzy, FreePeace and T41, Tina, Ladonna, Marvin Shilmer and many, many more. These people are the best people I've even known. I consider all of them closer than any family I've had other than my children and my non-dub relatives. I wish I could know more of you as well I know these few I mentioned.

As for "Bathory?" Well, he's a dub, so what can I say?

I'm only a few weeks away from getting enough money to begin my crawl upwards again, but I don't know how this client will react when he realizes he cannot even contact me by phone anymore.

I can get a cell phone with 166 minutes usage for no deposits, no contracts and only sixty bucks and can buy more time through phone cards. Even that would help a whole bunch.

To add insult to injury, the day after my father's funeral, my mother started telling me how worthless I was and I told her that fifty years, (an entire HALF century) of mental abuse from her was enough and I would tolerate it not longer. She then commited the worst mental abuse that any mother could ever do to her child: she said I was no son of hers, demanded I get in the car, drove me to a little motel about 25 miles from the airport and dumped me off. This was close to midnight and my plane was not scheduled to leave for two more days. I slept in the airport that night and arranged a flight at 6:30 a.m. the next morning. We landed in Las Vegas for what should have been a 20 minute layover. It wasn't. We were all kicked off the plane and then kicked out of the entire airport. That morning was September 11th. After many hours I managed to get a Greyhound bus to San Diego.

Life has not been good recently.

Doug, I will try to get a money order tomorrow on my way to work, and will send it to that address no later than Monday. I hope you get enough also to get a cell phone so that you will not lose your client. If you lived out this way I would let you stay in my little shack.
