The Bible says no man should judge another yet elders can judge with impunity.
You should not gossip but elders can.
You should go house-to-house but elders can ride around making sure the territory is properly covered.
You can't make a "shepherding call" if you're not an elder.
You should put at least the congregation's hourly, monthly averages in or else you're not scripturally qualified as an elder.
A teenager can be a MS yet the Bible says these should be "men" not teenagers.
Every Bible example "pictures" something. Lot's wife pictures the great crowd. Ebed-melech represents the anointed. Michael the Archangel pictures Jesus Christ.
The bookstudy publications of Isaiah (1 &2) are simply RIDICULOUS!
1. You must attend meetings to attain salvation.(they don't directly say it but it's obvious)
2. You must go before a committee of elders to go over a slew of questions before you can get baptized.
3. That you must confess your sins to elders to get God's approval, therefore putting themselves between you and God.

They used to believe that medicine is a demonic science because its roots go back to pagan Egypt and the dubs were advised not to use the services of doctors. Fortunately for them the FDS did not keep up this belief (or the ban on innoculations) otherwise countless dubs would have died unnecessarily.

Now skully we all know that this is only the case technically.. there are so many elders, CO/DO's whose wives dictate to them what to do about things going on in the congregation. Trust me the publishers know which "elderette's" are in power too.
Witnesses will associate with worldly relatives who NEVER attended a KH, NEVER wanted to be a witness and who may even have opposed witnesses. They will NOT have anything to do with a family member whose only mistake was to get baptized while too young to know better. So even if they have now left behavior that got them df'd and are now productive members of society, they will be shunned if they don't get reinstated.
This is one of my biggest problems with the Witlesses.
They can associate and have at family gatherings, members RAISED in the truth, as long as they haven't been baptized.
Even if the non-baptized RAISED-IN-THE-TRUTH family member makes statements that they think the religion is stupid, dumb, etc.
If you get baptized, and you make the same statements, you're SHUNNED.
