how long past the date on the package can you use eggs kept in the fridge? just asking...I threw some out the other day with a SEPT 05 07 date.....

Snakes, to check and see if your eggs are fresh, fill a tall glass with water, plop your egg in. If it sinks, it's fresh, if it floats, it's bad.
Just a heads up - even though the date may not be past, the product can still be spoiled. Proper storage is essential! Keep hot foods hot, cold foods cold!

My father was a cheepskate. He would always buy dented cans and expired produce because these items were on sale. I vowed never to repeat the same behavior. I want to eat good food.
