That is true. I can't understand why "digging deep" into the history of the JW movement should get one disfellowshipped.
UNLESS, they imagine that if you have dug deep, and discovered some old bones, then you have already eaten from the fruit of the Apostaberry tree !
I think that linking back to Terry's post a few days ago, if you are not affiliated to any earthly spiritual organisation, you are on far stronger ground for debating with the JWs because they cannot return the argument and unearth the bones in any particular organisation's closet.
It must be nice to have the power to determine how God inspects his faithful and discreet slave. It must be even nicer to put your own stamp of apporval on yourself.
The Christain bible wirters seem to think Christ had been given all authority in heaven and on earth after his resurrections. Don't confuse me with the facts!
Perhaps if that is true we have been living in the end times since Christ took his power and that's the reason every generation has thought they were the last.
And that the reason all true Christian have suffered since the time of Christ. I am all most certain the society can somehow make the blood of the not yet enlighten early Roman Christain invaild until the real inspection occures in 1919.
And isn't it amazing how all groups think they are the faithful and discreet slave that God has entrusted his belonging too. Then when their group is exposed and it is full of dead mens bones and children that have been molested etc.,etc. isn't that the judgment of Babylon the Great in the last days?

Didn't our forebears saddle us with enough already?

Great point Terry! Your question just spurred a few others in my mind. If JW's are always being tested by Satan and are going to be tested during the 1000 year reign, why is it they get in trouble for investigating "apostate" websites and literature? Wouldn't that just be testing and not wicked? If a JW's faith is strong enough to endure Satan's testing and the temptations of this "wicked system of things" and all of the things that surround them, surely it wouldn't be so tough or wrong to read something that supposedly contains lies, or listen to someone who is supposedly lying about the JW's? It should be easy to face the testing and prove it wrong, wouldn't it? It would be if they really had the Truth...
