The brother took the counsel and he went from a BeeGee to a Barry White.
LMAO!
As a bible student, I was taught that there were NO gay or bi jw's. Faith in Jehovah would make those desires go away, and faithful ones certainly did not act on those intentions that could be prayed away.
Seriously, a lot of what all of you tell me is shocking. I know I wasn't in long, but man!

Yes while at Bethel. There they are grouped into a specific category called "NPG's" Non Practicing Gay's. I had heard one guy that I used to work with in shipping getting Dfed when he went home due to homosexuality and I wasnt surprised.
Also one who used to work in Service while I was there, wasnt married and was VERY effeminate... of course that does not guarantee that he was/is gay but he sure seemed like it. May even be the same guy that mini's friend told him about who knows.

There was this son of an elder that turned out to be gay when he grew up, it was obvious from his mannerisms that he was effeminate th eway he talked and moved. Eventually he left his parents home and went to live with a boy friend was of course DFed and his father a very moralistic elder was gutted.
From what I heard he eventually became straight got a wife and has a family. I suspect it was his over strict and stifling authoritarian father that turned him gay perhaps as a rebellion, just to hurt his father.

I can't believe I totally forgot about this one,
about 5 years ago there was a JW working at my company, (for some reason I don't know why we've had a lot come through here) anyway he was suppose to be from a really good JW family, I think his grandpa or someone was suppose to be part of the 144000 or what ever, never really liked him or talked to him much, anyway he was arrested for stealing and drugs, I cleaned up his computer from the office and found a bunch of gay porn, I mean videos, pictures, websites etc. he was really into black men with large units.

Well Im free to post on these topics now as I dont have anything to hide anymore.
That being said, I find the JW religion to have a higher number of gay/effeminate men than any other religion, except maybe the MCC of course.
It shouldnt be surprising since every normal aspect of boyhood is destroyed by this Cult. Not being allowed to participate in school sports, no little league, no dating, and the list goes on and on.
In my region of the US where Im from, guys are expected to aspire towards traditionally male careers such as police officer, soldier, pilot, etc etc etc yet these careers were always discouraged to us.
Very little father/son bonding since boy scouts were out, no Dads cheering on their son in football. Well I could go on and on, but I will stop here..
Yes, I have known several suspected gays within the WT world, in fact I wouldnt be surprised if those who claimed to be putting off marriage until the "New System" were actually gay and using that to hide their sexual preference. -

There were several red flags that I should have seen right after I got baptized. The elder that was pretty much my mentor was disfellowshipped weeks after I took the plunge. There was no one in the world I respected more than that guy.
There was another guy whom I had a great deal of respect for. He was a young, recently-appointed elder. I believe he was 26 years old. He seemed to be really zealous and took "the truth" really seriously. He wasn't very virile, but not less so than you'd expect from a young man that had spent years suppressing normal sexual desires. A few months after I got baptized he was disfellowshipped. It turns out that he was a homosexual and had begun a relationship with another man. A few years later I saw him at an assembly. He was sitting by himself with his parents. It looked like he was still disfellowshipped. It's sad. He was a good guy. He shouldn't have been ostracized for his sexual preference. He's probably riddled with guilt for having the feelings he does.
I hated how judgmental the gossipy sisters were at my hall, especially the pioneers. They accused everybody, and I mean everybody, of being gay. If you were a young guy that did not have a reputation as a womanizer, they talked about you as possibly being gay. Of course, if you were a womanizer, they'd talk bad about you for not being spiritual. If you were not married at 21 or 22 it must be because you were gay. I became extremely paranoid about people thinking I was gay. When I faded away and moved to a different city my friends picked up on it. It was embarrassing. They're the type of people that couldn't care less if someone thought they were gay. They're all straight, but "gay" is not a death label to them, so they don't care. I've really begun to shed that fear now that I'm inactive. It really is a lot easier living this way, not having to worry so much about what people think about you. A "gay" rumor could spell disaster for you in the Witness world. It shouldn't be that way. Many young, straight JWs that I knew lived in fear of that rumor because it could kill any prospect of finding a good Witness girl to marry.

I also knew of a Lesbian JW woman who left her husband and her kids for a woman, and to beat it all she was disfellowshipped for smoking a cigarette in a public service TV announcement, she was only acting and wasnt really smoking it. She wasnt disfellowshipped for the lesbianism though.

We had a brother here in Florida who was married to a very nice looking wife. But you could just tell he wasnt straight. In time they divorced and he came out of the closet.
I would think while he was married, he had his gay desires but rationalized that he was acting out the proper behavior. Kind of like Jimmy Carter lusting after women in his heart but not acting on it.
Remember God doestn hate the sinner just the sin.
Socitetys aversion to gays is just part of the divide and conquer mentality that our controllers, rullers, religion, media hold over us. Its kind of like Jehober confusing the language at the tower of babel.
They want people fractionalized and fighting so they dont have time to focus on the real enemy.
