You are preaching Naturalism brother. Check it out.http://www.naturalism.org/

Naturalism, in essence, is simply the idea that human beings are completely included in the natural world: there’s nothing supernatural about us. Naturalism is based on science as the best, most reliable means for discovering what exists. Science shows that each and every aspect of a human being comes from and is completely connected to the natural world, and is understandable in terms of those connections.

    Thanks for the link.

I will clarify things. I do believe in God and accept Jesus as God, but we only know part of the story.

It's as if we are "designed" to be spiritual beings, but we are here on earth in physical bodies (a bit like having some senses removed). We are here for the experience of being here - to glean truths that reveal more about the God that made us.

It's a bit like trying to describe grass by only using touch and smell. You have to focus more - concentrate more about the experience. So therefore you absorb and learn more. Crazy ?

I respect your thought process AO. You show yourself to be an open-minded Christian. No easy task.

However, I offer that you believe in God and Jesus as God due to the power of suggestion.

    Please allow me to clarify.

One could say that I believe in Naturalism because I read about it. Not so. I'm not even sure I do. But one observes and lives. Then one finds explanations that fit said life-experience. What fits is embraced, what doesn't is discarded. I'm just beginning the journey.

Now applying the same process to Christian belief. If one lives and observes the world, cultural and natural, one does not come to the inescapable conclusion that a man/God born of a virgin came to save the world and offer absolute truth. One comes to believe that only because it has been suggested by certain ancient writings.

My opinion of course. I do your find your approach to your belief refreshing and worthy of consideration.
