ButtLight:
just curious funky, you seem to always show up on the "paranormal" threads.........are you screening your calls threads?
Well, I don't go hunting for paranormal stories to debunk or ridicule. There's unfortunately no shortage of them here. I'm genuinely curious as to what makes apparently normal people, such as you and Warlock, interpret the most tediously mundane events as supernatural occurrences. This is the second thread Warlock has started in the last few days about a supposedly spooky experience that doesn't strike me as at all unusual or interesting.
Unlike many religious beliefs, it doesn't even seem to provide comfort to those who hold it. Those who actually believe that absurdly obvious charlatans like Sylvia Browne, John Edwards and the crew of Ghost Hunters are in touch with the dead (or undead or demons or whichever nonsense label you choose) don't seem to be happier as a result. You, in particular, seem to be terrified by the most ordinary happenings and have apparently instilled the same fears in your children.
I freely confess I don't get it. I don't get why you choose to interpret ordinary events in such unlikely ways. My best guess is that it's something like the caricature of the angry black man who thinks all his problems are due to racism. Similarly - and I emphasise that this is mere speculation on my part - you need to feel that you are in a constant struggle with evil spirits, or perhaps you feel like a hero for successfully doing battle with the forces of darkness. Or maybe it's just harmless escapism. I really don't know and I suspect you don't either.
