What company did you buy it from???

Whenever possible, I try to avoid buying products designed for home users. For example, if I buy a Dell computer I buy a Lattitude or Optiplex rather than an Inspiron or Dimension. I make my purchase as a business, regardless of whether or not I'm running a business. That way I get a better level of support. If a hardware component breaks down I have a technician at my door by the next business day. I also get to speak to support personel who live on my continent. If the written warranty does not include repair on my premesis they won't make a sale. Period.

Whenever I buy something in a store, I never buy the "extended warranties" many stores offer. They're a scam. I've never heard of anyone who was satisfied with an "extended warranty".

What KW 13 said and I would call their corporate office with news about the roach infested box and the service you DID NOT receive.

I'm upset that they wont honor the warranty, but I'm most upset about the condition that they returned the laptop in.

call the manufacturer and send it back for repair. They should send you a box to ship it in. Then go buy another one at Office Depot - they have the best prices right now, at least in this area. It doesn't hurt to have two laptops. And THEN store all your files on a flash drive, and back them up on your laptop. That way if something happens that neither laptop works, you can always take your flash drive down to the public library and work on your files.

I dont know what you should do. I find this to be a very corrupt dishonest society that does not understand basic english and twist and perverts the meaning of our language. I'd like for you to be able to rip the slimeballs a new Axxhole. But, that all takes the focus off your problem of having a working computer. No one that I ever encounter wants to stand behind their goods and products, Especially auto makers. I try to know as much as I can about the things I need and buy things that dont need service or are easily serviced and I try not to consider any warranty when I buy because a warranty just seems to be a source of frustration. It seems the big chains out source their warrantys and then when they are not honored they blame the subcontractor.

Hopefully somebody has or will give you some good advice to find justice in your situation.

    Good luck.
