OMG!! That is tooooo funny!!
I hate Capitol One, there is something from them all the time.
I used to constantly get offers for insurance aimed at people 50 plus. Finally I sent their postage paid envelope back to them and said to contact me in 20 years. Haven't heard from them since.

No, that was Andy Rooney's idea. -

That is a great idea Mary. Maybe they will find God and see the error of their junk mailing ways...lmbo
I tried mailing thier crap back to them. I stuff the envelope as full as possible, and I haven't got their crap for at least 4 months.

Ha ha. I used to do that all the time with junk mail- I'd just fill the free-postaage envelope with OTHER junk mail, pizza cupons n stuff and mail it out.
I don't know that it affects them too much and it kind atook a bit of time.

great idea....the best would be to stuff the envelope w/ as much crap as possible to get the postage higher.

awww hell....I dont get to have all that fun anymore...I used to do it all the time. AND I submitted my name to this web site:
https://www.dmaconsumers.org/cgi/offmailing this costs $1.00 to get off the lists of the member companies of the Direct Marketers Association.
The "do-not-mail" file is updated monthly and distributed four times a year (January, April, July, and October), though some mailers choose to receive the file monthly. Your name remains on MPS for five years, after which time you may register again. Typically, you will see the amount of mail you receive begin to decrease approximately three months after your name is entered onto the quarterly file (a little longer if you use the mail-in option).
I put a block on my credit report so I dont get solicitations.:
Opt-out of pre-screened credit offers.
If you would like to reduce the number of pre-screened credit and insurance offers you are receiving, visit www.optoutprescreen.com or call 1-888-5OptOut (1-888-567-8688) to opt-out of these offers. This is a free service to consumers offered by the major credit bureaus. Also I dont get to have fun with the telemarketers too much, because I put my home and phone number on the do not call lists. You have to reregister every 5 years.
