this is really awesome news Para.
the self help route was what really started me down the path of eventually exiting the org. I could see the *patterns* from my toxic family was the same in the way the org. ran things. It was hard to accept and admit for a long time.
she is letting herself explore new terrain. this is very promising my friend!
Interesting developments with my wife.

You know once the scales start to fall it's a hard egg to put back together (am I mixing my metaphors?) But it sounds to me that the track you two are on is one that will make the break much easier for her when she really really has that OMG moment of --- "JESUS CHRIST - I"M IN A CULT!"

That is great. My wife is still in I'm out. Faded away 10-12 yrs ago. I want to help her get out of this cult but she doesn't want my help. All her family is in too. I have just really left it alone, not saying anything to her about the WTS but I do think she is just tired of it all.
Maybe I'll try dropping some comments here and there.
I glad for you,
JT

Great news Para - I'm really pleased and excited for you - are you an active dub at the moment?
With my wife Sweet Pea and I it sounded quite similar - I just had to bide my time and be patient - you are the best judge of what she can handle, but as has often be said here before normally a person needs a 1-2 punch so to speak. So douts about the Borg combined with a compelling event such as some dub really upsetting them, or learning about the paedo/UN situation.

You are doing a great job, taking it slow so that she is not defensive. Good luck we sure are rooting for you.

Didn't see a point to creating a new topic.
We went to our neighbour's family reunion on the weekend and we all had a great time. Their family really likes us and my wife smiled and told me that we were invited for Christmas. She's a bit flattered right now, but still reluctant.
I just said that it was very nice of them and left it at that. She's more flattered with the invitation right now, I get the feeling that she didn't say yes or no. Christmas is still a ways off so she has time to think about it and decide to change the maybe, hopefully to a yes. -

Wonderful developments.
Maybe you will have a Merry Christmas??
