Unique1 - Will they choose to shun me? Time will tell!

But I know who I would want to look after me when I am old and it would be someone just like me who feels empathy for the old and the suffering and would fight to the ends of the Earth for them. They have seen how other JW relatives have handled the old and infirm......and it was NOT something to be proud of, I can promise you. Whereas I stood up and fought hammer and nail for the dying relative I am refering to.

I think they know what they would lose if they chose to shun me!

Open Mind - Please feel free to tell your parents to stay in the WT society! I really believe that some people NEED the fantasty! I only get angry with them when they choose to condemn me and mine!

One day you may well have to stand up for yourself and yours. Don't be afraid of them. I feel that they feel less threatened if you tell them you don't want them to leave the Watchtower Society!

Garybuss - You make a good point! My father said that he was ashamed of me as soon, when Armageddon comes he will turn around and all his grandchildren will be dead! It will be my fault.

He has certainly lost his bragging rights!

Even though I had presented him with the Guardian Newspaper article on the WT joining the UN, the phone number of the US Bethel and the name and phone number of the UN to ring and check if what I said was true, he virtually screamed at me that I was a liar and everything I presented to him was a LIE! He swore that would NEVER check whether it was true as his 'faith' told him it is all lies and apostasy! Sad fool!

I tell no lie when I said that they had to keep giving me the mags or else they would never know what is in them!

I am CERTAIN they either do NOT read them or cannot understand them!

They are still way behind on the blood fractions change and its meaning and on the 1995 generation change! How can that be??

Willyloman - Freedom is liberating! You bet it is! To finally have no fear of people who made you terrified your whole life with their apocalyptic vision of life is the most liberating thing anyone can experience!

I remain sad and befuddled that your daughter continues to shun you. How can this reflect well on the religion that claims to be the ONLY true religion on the planet? The Watchtower should be ashamed that it actually encourages such deviant behaviour, but I suspect it remains proud of itself instead.
