Is the Watch Tower name going away?

I think you are very astute in noticing this.

During the period of the enlightenment, there were many "Bible Societies." We all know the roots of the WTS was in the Adventist movement, etc.

It does seem as if they are trying their best to once and for all move away from any connection with the book publishing "Society" past. After all, the purpose of the Watchtower as they put it was to look for God's Kingdom shortly to come, but that was in the 1800s.

Now, with the generation change, they simply cannot put a close date on the end, but are instead looking to make a group with a certain "lifestyle" in obedience to the FDS.

These are interesting developments. Not that the average rank and file will notice the gradual changes with no explanations given.

Just a thought. Theyre aiming for a higher percentage of persecution. Having the general public even more on the attack, on the Jehovah's Witnesses, will make the rank and file more aggressive, causing another possible surge in click members. It will also give them that sense of "we are Gods persecuted people", even more. The public has always associated the "cult, outcast, bizarre, un-scriptural" feelings towards the name of Jehovah's Witnesses, not WTS. Putting their name on more published elements and signage, will bring a higher persecution.

who knows? Probably a big secret. Bet if you asked a witness, they would either play dumb, or say it has something to do with the governing body and the faithful and discreet slave getting words from God!

    Gary,

Yes, they ask that we make our checks out to "Watch Tower" two separate words. So it looks like the money is going into the Pennsylvania corp.

Also, in your picture, I cannot see where the rebelious young teenagers are sneaking off to to make out, etc. Wassup wit dat?

It sounds like a DA by the WT from JW...any problems don't sue WTS sue the JW, we are no longer associated with the WT.
It all has to do with money, and I smell a rotten fish here.

IMO, this hits the nail on the head. It looks like a positioning stance for something coming up. Lawsuits? Maybe. I guarantee the
Kool-aid copy of the WT will probably show us the full intent of the change.

Gary, as an over the road trucker I have made some deliveries to Walkill NY. I have noticed that on their tractor trailers where once it said "Watchtower" it now says "Kingdom Services". I think this is part of their separating of the companies in case of law suits.

It is very common for a corporation to shut down and incorporate anew to avoild lawsuits. There is a famous case where a NY taxis company incorporated the fleet of taxi cabs in to two car corporation. When there was a lawsuit the person sueing could only get the amount of two cabs instead of the whole fleet and it worked it was upheld into the supreme court the united states.

The whole issue here is money and protecting assets for the society nothing more. There are too many child abuse case against them and they will continue. If there is no longer the watchtower corportation it stops the paying out of huge sums.

To make it legal they cannot commingle any funds from the old corporation into the new the new has to be a different corporation with no mixing of funds into the new corporation for the lawsuits to be stop. Lawsuits are only as good as the money to cover them. If none of the people on the board of directors have any money. In other words, they are volunteer then you can't get blood out of a turpitude.

If none of the people on the old corporate are part of the new then it is new. Overall, they will pay the outstanding lawsuits out the old and when thats done there old watchtower society will be broke and out of the ashs will come a new corporation.

    Reply: Thanks Watson,

So the conventions are sponsored by the CCoJW and the donations are solicited on behalf of the Watch Tower Corporation. Interesting! Thanks! (I'm not sure about the teenagers.)

Quandry, Thanks for your comments on the name change. The picture of the KH build I just happened to find one day. I thought it was entertaining to look at.

journey-on, Thanks for your comments. I can't see how a name shift would be any kind of an effective firewall in the United States but I guess it's possible. We'll have to watch what's going on.

IronClaw, Thanks for the post and thanks for confirming what we are seeing on the trucks. There's something in the works. The Society was so proud of that Watch Tower name and they were so proud of the skip block building tower they use as their icon. Now the icon seems to be the open book that we see on the WT CD.
