Talk about missing the point with this KH/microphone business.
Anyway there are three groups in our congregation: two in homes and one in the KH. I am in the KH group.
I think the idea is to have one group meet in the Hall so worldly people can come along, or DFed people. I'm not sure really, I'm just guessing.
I don't know why they use microphones either really. I think it might be to do with the fact that we all tend to spread out at the Hall and fill the space so we end up at opposite ends of the room even though the seats are more than two thirds empty and can't hear each other without the microphones.
But I know you are all dying to know what else went down at the old KHall since I last wrote, so I won't keep it from you any longer...
I went to the Hall again tonight - if I go again on Sunday this will be the first hatrick of meetings in years!
My wife wanted the elder taking the announcements to pass on greetings from her home congregation that she recently visited. But the elder said she had to write down the greeting on a bit of paper and he would make the announcement if she did that. (Is that normal or is he winding her up or does he just have a screw lose?) We were running late for the meeting so I sent her ahead so she could give him the stupid bit of paper with the greeting before the meeting starts. So she did that, but when it came to the announcements he forgot to mention the greetings. You gotta laugh.
