I know many have said the SoCal traffic is horrendous. How about North Cali?
I'd like it a lot more if I could actually afford it! I also wouldn't mind living someplace warm, like Florida, though a friend once told me the winters here in New Jersey aren't nearly as cold as New England.
I love being close to New York and not too far from Philly. I can be in another state or at the beach within an hour, and to the nation's capital or Boston in 4. There's so much to do in the Northeast!! I can't imagine living someplace where there's nothing to do.
I live in the Northeast in New York State. It is beautiful, but the winters are tough. Good place to raise kids, but can always go to the city or large urban area if I want to do something. So all in all it is fine.

I love where I live, I never used to but I've learned to appreciate it more lately. I actually live in a small section off of a small town, sometimes I just want to get out of here though. I really hate the fact that I ended up where I was born but other than that it's really pretty here and you can't beat the incredible winters.
Here are some pictures I took recently of the area right nearby my house:
I think the answer to that question would depend on the stage of my life. I would rather be living some place else rather than where I live, being in the lesser progressing area of the country. However later in life I might like it better. Right now, I hate it,.
I'm in the Finger Lakes area of NYS. It's beautiful here. We don't seem to get that lake effect snow they get from the Great Lakes (my brother is in Owego and they measure the snow in feet, not inches). Summers a little muggy once in a while, but all in all its a good place to live.
I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens until I was 12 when we move upstate. Went to the Woodhaven and Ozone Park congregations but it was so long ago I don't remember many names.

Do I like where I live? You might as well ask me do I like eating potatos raw, or falling down an escalator, or using a porta-potty on a 105 degree day. That would mean no. I live in the rural area of a city that is ridiculous. I hate the weather, it gets hella hot in the summer and hella cold and snowy in the Winter. Ugh. Around where I live is a ton of hicks, trailer parks (sorry nothing against living in a trailer) the kind where they put their old floral loveseat on the deck that's crumbling. I guess they like to sit outside and peer into their neighbors window.
Worst of all is the enormous Mormon population. Sure, the pop machines stay relatively stocked, but it's so sickening to go past the Church (which is RIGHT by the School) on Sundays and see three sessions of indoctrination absolutely packed to the gills. You see the women with their seven children, the girls all with long hair and hand-me-down frocks and the boys in their starchy collars no matter the weather.
burger time, nothings as good as new orleans, that's why i love living here.
I love San Diego, CA, the weather is great year round. I live within 5 miles of 2/3 of the jobs in San Diego; so, I will never have to commute. The only thing that would get me to move would be if the cost of living gets too high.
