  A few other thoughts on 1975:

  I remember a brother stating that if January 1976 came around, he was gone. That pretty much happened.

  A CO in our circuit called on this home and the guy's number plate was JAH. His name was Jim A. Hogan, and he was a state police officer. Using 1975 and the guy's number plate, the CO started a study with him, and this guy was all gungho.

  He studied, got baptized, quit his job, sold off stuff so he could Pioneer. Well, when 1975 came and went, Jim left as well.

  Seeker 4, Mr. Flipper here. I was born and raised in the Witnesses and I must say that since Mrs. Flipper and I joined in March I have had more fulfilling experiences writing and talking with people about issues that are important to dislodging the ingrained witness thinking than I ever did in the 40 some odd years I was in the org. I get so much more caring and respect from members of this board than I ever did in the witnesses. I agree too, that this board serves an extremely important function of being an outlet or release and comfort for those escaping the droning witnesses. I appreciate all you ex-elders one of which is you, who have given good advice on matters pertaining to my life and others. Thanks seeker 4 for your input and thanks to everybody on this board.   A few other thoughts on 1975

  I was about 12 when the 1975 propaganda really started. That must be an impressionable age because I swallowed it hook, line and sinker. My aim from that time was to pioneer and help as many people as possible to gain everlasting life - "in the short time remaining" - remember the terminology?.

  I find it insulting when elders claim nothing was ever written about 1975 - that it was just hearsay.

  I agree that sites like this are going to be very important in the future. The younger ones are not as afraid to research on the internet and it's all here waiting for them.

  I also agree that this site is extremely important!! When I started opening my eyes, I first found e-watchman's site, it helped me to begin questioning the Borg...but I didn't stop there, before long I found JWD and although it was scary in the beginning, I kept lurking and reading and researching....and eventually the blinders came off! I don't post as much anymore but always check up on what's going on here and have referred quite a few that are now lurkers and some members on here....soooo it really is a valuable tool to help these poor people open their eyes and join the real world, THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!
