MARTIAN
Did you read the testimony of a Danish brother, who reported his molestor to the authorities?
He was DF - yet the JC refused to say why they DF him as it would breach JC confidentiality.
As a result we have ayoung man unable to find out the reason for DF and therefore appeal it.
How many here would happily go up to another and tell them all the details of their last sexual experience.
How many six year olds have the information to make up such stories, let alone the courage most adults dont have to tell it to another??
My god! I was disgusted at age 7 when I found out what my parents had done to make me!!
But then you are one of the disgusting brood that worships your own stone age death godlet who will kill mostly children and unborn babies, so you can live in a parody of paradise fertilized with the blood of all the folks you want to die as soon as possible.
You are a sick pathetic mockery of a "chrischun" and as a witless, I find you disgusting to be justifying the witchtower on this. Why are you here anyway, if the "Truth" is so true?
Hang around. Maybe you too will become another inalienable friend of the X witlesses.
Loving you in hope. www.silentlambs.org

Serendipity, I think it's important to answer idiot's like this, not for him, but because there are others out there who also think like this and need to be informed....
It's as much a nightmare to us as it is to the victims of such depravity!
Oh, REALLY? Ever have a four year old wake up screaming EVERY NIGHT BECAUSE OF THIS?? I have, and it was my baby brother, who on top of this had just lost his father in a year long battle with cancer. Nice, huh?
Can you even comprehend what it's like to be a FOUR YEAR OLD and have to deal with this? How many four year olds do YOU KNOW that display suicidal ideation?
You and all the other anti-witnesses sniveling about that almost make ME believe in Hellfire for you and the molesters- and whatever sect you belong to.
Hmmm, comparing those who have the guts to PROTECT children with molesters??? Nice...
I admire our HQ for being so cautious; it indicates that they are conscious of the fact that they will have to answer to Christ for their actions!
This statement, followed by your others is dripping with Irony. Those who cover up for molesters deserve to "talk to christ" and those who actually stand up for children (or, themselves, in the case of the victims) deserve hellfire?
Hmmm, Ya know what? I almost wish that GOD would talk to folks like you. I'm sure he'd definitely have some questions about your attitude....

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars.
Would that include obeying the laws and regulations of various countries regarding child abuse in particular ? When various child abuse scandals were reported in the WT (Canada, Ireland and the U.S.) the organisation took a high moral stance regarding these crimes.
What is criminally obscene is the fact that the same procedures adopted by other branches of religion resulting in cover ups and further abuse were actively practiced by the Curia in Brooklyn. There was and is no difference with this branch appart from its address.

We know that child abuse goes on.
Whether its within the Catholic Church or Watchtower organisation, other groups have had the problem as well.
I think with the WT its the insensitive way in which they dealt with cases of child abuse. The stupidity of applying the "two witnesses" rule to child abuse. The hypocrisy of distributing a tract that implied that it was a problem in other religions. While having over 20,000 cases on their files at Brooklyn. Making the most of the fact that the Catholic church had to pay out money to child abuse victims. While keeping quiet about the money they have had to pay out also.
Barbara Andersons CD should be sent to all those in the media that have dealt with child abuse in the past.

If you are aware that there is child abuse going on now DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ......... NOW !
Problem ? I believe Criminal Cover Up or Felony are the words you are looking for.
I do not profess to know what the law states in various jurisdictions regarding commission of a felony. I do know that where a person is aware of a felony having taken place or is about to take place they themselves can be charged with a criminal offence if they fail to report it to the proper authorities.
I hope that you do not support, apologise for and ignore criminal wrongdoing by any one, especially those that prey on children. Do you?

Thats true we should. But how many of us do. How many of us would know if child abuse is happening.
How many times when a case appears in the media do you get neighbours saying "I never knew it was going on she/he always seemed a happy child." or "The family were just like any other family. Very nice neighbours"
How many of us have heard a neighbours child crying. Do we think they must be being abused?
We've just had a horrific case in the news recently. A little 4 yr old girl beaten, burned, kicked, by her mother and partner. It was only the fact the child died that any of it became knowledge. Yet neighbours would say how the child waved to them through the window as they passed the house. Would child abuse have crossed your mind?
The NSPCC here have a phone number people can call if you suspect child abuse. You can do it anonymously.
As organisation like the NSPCC point out most child abuse something like 80-90% of child abuse is from within the family.

I think the issue here is the fact that abuse was committed, documented and reported internally within the organisation after complaints had been received. The Brooklyn Curia decided that those who are legally charged with investigating and prosecuting offenders were not informed. Those high minded self appointed ambassadors of all that is good and holy covered up the crime by failing to inform the proper authorities e.g. the police etc.
The God Squad on earth have no role in investigating crimes that they have committed or are aware of. Where a complaint has been made to the police or social services, they alone will investigate to see if there is prima facie evidence ( Corroborrative and Forensic) to sustain a prosecution. A judge or jury will decide on the evidence if a conviction is warranted. The Curia in Brooklyn do not have a dedicated trained Sexual Assault or Crime Scene Investigation branch that I am aware of.
Perhaps the Scholar could enlighten me as to who these Celebrated Experts that made criminal investigations and decisions on behalf of sexually abused children were/are.
If you tolerate this then your children, grandchilden could be next. Keep with the issue not the editorial.

I won’t repeat what BizzyBee said, though having worked closely with victims of child sexual abuse, I can certainly substantiate it. To me, caution would be ensuring that the littlest ones in God’s kingdom are protected – erring on the side of safety. The scripture used to justify the type of ‘caution’ you are advocating - “two or three witnesses” – is misapplied and taken out of context – what a surprise! The fact of the matter is that sex abusers are rarely prosecuted because many child victims fall apart during the procedures leading up to a prosecution, not to mention the fact that many of them know that they will have to face their victimizers in a court of law. When a case does see a courtroom, the defendant’s lawyer often tears the child apart on the stand. Some methods used are highly unethical (in my opinion, and yes I understand the concept of zealous representation) asking the child for specific dates, times, etc., making the victim feel responsible for the sex crimes, subjecting them to outright hostility, attempting to confuse the child by repetitive questioning, rapid questioning, and interrupting responses. The child is placed in a stressful, adversarial situation which many adults cannot cope with – in a word they are re-victimized by the judicial process. We, as adults, are responsible to advocate for these children who have overcome their fear and psychological conditioning to place their trust in us and disclose the things that have happened to them. Your position is untenable and unconscionable. Scrape up some compassion and educate yourself...
Some myths that surround sexual abuse and rape include: children make up stories about rape, she/he asked for it, victim is a fault for allowing it to continue, most assaults are by strangers, the best way to recover is not to talk about it and act like it never took place.
Forced sexual relations may be by way of threat, tone of voice, physical power, or threat with a weapon.
Child sexual abuse is defined as "...the use of a child (any person under the age of 16) by an adult for sexual purposes whether or not consent is alleged to have been given." No child is exempt or protected from the possibility of child sexual abuse. Studies estimate that one out of every four children will become a victim, and almost every one of those children will be victimized by someone they know, love and trust. The aggressor can either be an older, more sexually informed child, or an adult, who uses the younger child for sexual arousal. The abuse can be physical, verbal, or emotional, often beginning gradually and increasing over time. It may involve tricking, bribing, threatening, coercing, or physically forcing the child into submission. Physical force is usually unnecessary, however, as children are usually dependent, trusting, naively vulnerable, have been taught to respect and obey adults, or may desperately want to avoid disfavor and gain love and approval. Child sex abusers use this vulnerability, violating the child's right to a healthy and trusting relationship. Child sexual abuse includes: Oral, anal, or vaginal penetration, touching and fondling of the child's genitalia, viewing sexual or pornographic movies with the child, having a child undress, pose naked for photographs or videos, and/or perform sexual acts for photographic or movie purposes, spying on children in their bedrooms or bathrooms, rape, attempted rape, and oral sex.
Most children do not report sexual abuse because they are either too young to explain what they experienced, are afraid because of threats by their aggressor or are afraid of getting into trouble from the person they tell, have been bribed to keep the secret, fear they will be called a liar or are making up a story, may feel confused because of what they perceive as "loving attention" accompanying the abuse, believe they are bad and blame themselves, or don't want to get a loved one (their abuser) into trouble. Unless the abuse is extreme, physical evidence is rare, and detecting child abuse can be difficult. Some symptoms may include: Sleep disturbances or eating disorders, depression/anxiety, fear of particular places, withdrawal from family and friends or problems in school, discipline problems/running away from home, low self-esteem or destructive behavior, hostility/aggression, drug or alcohol abuse, suicide attempts, sexual activity or pregnancy at a young age, copying adult sexual behavior, or sexual knowledge beyond that expected for their age, physical evidence of abuse such as unusual swelling, bleeding, or irritation of the genitals, anus, or mouth, indirect comments about sexual encounters, persistent sexual play with other children, toys, or pets..
Sexual abuse in general is extremely damaging emotionally, and is particularly so to children. It is a difficult and complicated issue, and requires astute observance on the part of adults to detect it in the first place, and then a completely loving, supportive, and caring environment (including professional counseling) to help the victim deal with the trauma and feel good about themselves as both children and adults. Whether performed by a male or a female, sexual abuse is extremely damaging and painful emotionally and psychologically to the victim. Many victims of sexual assault experience symptoms of helplessness, guilt, humiliation, insomnia, impaired memory and sexual dysfunction. This post-traumatic stress syndrome may also include flashbacks of the assault, avoidance of the place and circumstance in which the rape occurred, and avoidance of previously pleasurable activities.
