So I see more articles on obedence to the FDS is the same as disobeying God.

Second, I see blind obedience to the FDS points being made.

I agree with that, more and more JW's do their own things and beleive what they want. They just cannot verbalize it.

What a joke when they talk about the FDS when we all know those that partake have no say in anything and get no attention from the organization.

A 16 year old pioneer gets the attention and training and respect from th elders, CO and Bethel.

I wish the old bastards at Bethel would stop talking about the FDS and come right out and remind the JW's to be obedient and worship the GB.

That's right the FDS is in practise the GB though they falsely claim that the FDS is the entire class of the anointed, I don't believe there is such a thing as a separate anointed class in the Christian church (are the JWs a church anyway?) but it shows the hypocrisy and monopolistic power lusting of the leaders of this org and that they can not possibly be divinely approved as they claim.

How are the JW's going to respond when half of the 'householders' that answer the door ask them if they can have one of the 'other Watchtower magazines' you know 'the magazines you don't place to the public'...

I'll save you the trouble of guessing:

1 Obey those who take the lead

    2 Don't use the internet

    3 Never miss a meeting

    4 Be a Pioneer

    5 Give Lovingly and Whole-Spiritedly

    6 See Rule 1

And that's it. You never have to read another word.

Yeah - that's something that hasn't been mentioned much: I think they're shooting themselves in the foot with this, at least with a small caliber gun. I mean, the general public already views JW as a semi-weird sect, and up to this point been able to say "They have their own bible". To which JWs have answered "It's just a better translation". But now they'll have not only their own Bible, they'll have a magazine that the public won't see. This fact will of course also eventually drip into the public, and they will then be seen as even more weird and cult-like. They've pride themselves in being open, and not a closed society, not a sect. Now they're demonstrably not so open anymore.

    What do you all think?

I don't really know what the nature and the content will be. I do know this from talking to longtime friends in the "troof", that many are sick and tired of all the negative talk about education and the solicitation for more funds.

I hope Watchtower does all of what you say. Some are starting to see it now and many more will see it then.

Stilla- I think they will get more specific in their naming things to avoid, and the penalties stricter, more firm. Thus the term, "more pointed " counsel. Probably they will have firmer policies on not associating with dfed people. Also as has been mentioned, warnings about apostate internet sites, any worldy wisdom, avoid it. Just read the societies publications or it's 50 lashes with a wet noodle. That kind of stuff

Where is the letter where they refer to 'pointed Counsel' as the reason behind this change. Can someone please post a link.

I think they will introduce very subtle changes in wording phrasing and spelling. that will enable them - over a series of Koolaid issues - to trace the "active apostates" associating with "our organization", - INTERESTING: the Sep 07 Kmisery does not say Jehovah's Organization (bit like Moses striking the stone in Horeb) down to a region, and eventually a circuit.

They already know which lots of litterature are sent where.

You know, "that" instead of "which" "different TO" not from. "folks" not people or family. Omission of "that" on one page in one issue not another.

Why do you think they have been asking for people to volunteer with programming experience?

Exact word for word quotes by any one poster, will make then tracable at least to circuit any where in the world. This will require world wide cooperation to protect OUR Blondie.

Wow! Have they drifted too far from the shore or what?

What does any of this have to do with love of God or love of neighbor?

At many churches of Christendom, those two laws are spoken during every service as a reminder of what is really important. When was the last time anyone heard them at a Kingdom Hall?

    Regards,

SandraC of the "back to basics" class
