I can't stop thinking about this. You know, he's gonna have to put up with a lot of crap before he is free. So I think it's great that it's starting now. The sooner the crap starts, the sooner it can be over with.

They're also too smart to clearly define terms - thus leading to gossip, judging and speculation amongst the brethren and sistern - good times.

How about these definitions:

"Willfully inactive" = a doubter, on the way to being a fader, and then a full-blown apostate.

"Discouraged inactive" = someone experiencing cognitive dissonance (and with a bit more knowledge, will become a doubter).

One final show could eradicate your brother's issues with the BOE, the WTS, and the conditional love of a zombie pioneer - your brother could show up for the TMS and SM in slippers, a robe, and p.j.'s, a book bag full of comic books, take a seat up front, and wait for the confirmation - "brother former P.O. isn't willful, he's flipping nuts." Maybe then, "do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight" and off comes the robe. Playing crazy could be fun, playing very mad could be advantageous. Maybe your brother needs a vacation anyhow?

But I think one needs to be in a place where they feel the "fight" /struggle will be worth it. I made up my mind in an hour during a WT study. The worse is behind me and I don't ever want to go through that again. So many I know are still talking about the same things we talked about 5+ years ago, and they are no happier...just want an end to their dilemma, like Armageddon (lol). Then I bring up the potential loss of 6 billion lives so they don't have such angst, and I get the strange looks. *sigh*
