God would have to come up to me and shake my hand, then create a perfect woman for me (he/she/it can have a rib) providing the woman meet my requirements, that could take years. Then I might believe. Until then, I am keeping my Barbie Doll, and remaining an atheist.

multiple instances of direct communication, witnessed by multiple people

Like some sort of UFO landing and informing us that they are our creators? And, of course, multiple witnesses would need to be present to "hear" this claim from this highly intelligent, super technological, "God". I get it.

The Bible is good enough proof for me! I have read other sources and they do not compare to the Bible.

    Thanks for asking.

    John Doe:

An experimental atomic clock based on a single mercury atom is now at least five times more precise than the national standard clock based on a "fountain" of cesium atoms.

The experimental clock, which measures the oscillations of a mercury ion (an electrically charged atom) held in an ultra-cold electromagnetic trap, produces "ticks" at optical frequencies. Optical frequencies are much higher than the microwave frequencies measured in cesium atoms in NIST-F1, the national standard and one of the world’s most accurate clocks. Higher frequencies allow time to be divided into smaller units, which increases precision.http://blogs.zdnet.com/emergingtech/?p=293

Optical frequencies regularly oscillate at one million-billion (1,000,000,000,000,000—one quadrillion) times per second.

Personally the fact that these oscillations are found in naturally occuring substances on earth to me indicates design not fluke. If I took a 100 hand grenades and blew them all up, would anything ordered come out of the chaos? Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

That's a strawman with no bearing on reality. A similar argument from the other side would be if I said "If I make a little man out of play doh, will he die for my sins?" You're attacking a stance that no one has taken.

A real F****in miracle. No bullshit, no magic. Raise the dead. Do it in front of me. Heal those with infirmities. Do it in front of me. Those that lived in the time of Jesus, if they saw that and didn't get on there friggin knees immediately, and I mean whole countries, then theres something fishy. If I were living in the the time of Christ and I saw that, I would be the apostle Paul, with fire and brimstone ready to die for this man. Theres just too much bullshit in this world.

to accept the existence of God? (I'm not talking about "a big man in the sky" kind of deity.) What would it take to convince you that mankind was intentionally created by a powerful and intelligent creative force? What kind of proof would you personally require? I see two different questions here. I basically answered the first. At this time, I sense that there is an inteligent creative force at work. I don't need more proof than what I see as inteligent design, all around me. To call that individual a "God," makes it that "big man in the sky" kind of deity. To prove that to me, that "God" would have to clearly communicate with mankind on a much larger scale than the methods used in the different holy books. It would have to be much more personal.

Actually John Doe, I thought I was just answering a question, on what I would see as positive proof, not attacking anything or anyone. Just said that was proof positive enough for ME, not you, not Joe Blow, me. The question at the end wasnt' directed at anyone to answer, just how I see it. Period.

If I build a man of play doe, will he die for my sins? No, of course not. That's why I don't believe in Christianity. I'm not attacking anything or anyone, just saying why I don't believe, period.

Believing in Christianity and believing in intelligent design aren't one and the same. They can either reside together or seperately.
