I looked over my writing John. I know they are harsh words. Its just a gut feeling. The one part I might change. Is " Judges" I shouldn't generalize. Some are fair. I speak from my own pain and get real jumpy when I feel someone is getting railroaded. If you can offer any further corrections. I will submit to your logic if I feel it holds water.
A fifth of Americans can't locate America on a map! WHY IS THAT?

I will agree with you on George de mestral (he was in fact, swiss), maker of velcro. But I am going fight for AGB lol!
Although Alexander Graham Bell did in fact move to the states,
In 1870, at age 23, he and his parents immigrated to Canada, where they settled at Brantford, Ontario.
In Canada, Alexander Bell continued an interest in the study of the human voice and ear (his father was an authority on speech disorders), and he also explored a method of communication with electricity. He designed a piano which, by means of electricity, could transmit its music at a distance. ( Yes, he did live in the states, but his final resting place and his citizenship in fact were in Canada.)
[edit] Death
Bell died of Pernicious anemia [35] on 2 August1922, age 75, at his private estate, Beinn Bhreagh, located on Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island near the village of Baddeck. He was buried atop Beinn Bhreagh mountain overlooking Bras d'Or Lake. He was survived by his wife and two of their four children. [36]
In September 1875, Bell wrote the patent specifications for, and refined the design of, the telephone in Brantford (Canada), although he had actually developed the first one in Boston with Watson. He also did later work with Sir William Thomson at Cambridge (England).

Hey sweetstuff: Glad to see you sticking up for our AGB!
Nvr, thanks for those funny maps. I laughed out loud--it did remind me of Rick Mercer's priceless work interviewing our friends in the US about our beloved country. I was a bit puzzled by Mouseheads, but Mary cleared that up for me. I loved "The Shire" for New Zealand. Now what's that bit about incest in Australia?
And the solution to this dilemna, of course, is HOMESCHOOLING! It is amazing how much more kids will learn when you make the maps out of peanut butter and icing sugar, use m and ms for markers, and then eat them up when you are done.

Oh, and I'm a little puzzled by this thread. There seem to be cross over remarks from the thread about some beauty pageant. Or is my computer demon possessed?

No TS, your right, some serious cross threading, maybe in JD's case, cross dressing?Jk
