When I was a kid, our family crossed the 24-mile bridge across Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. We also crossed a 7-mile bridge between two of the Florida Keys.

Last weekend I visited the collapsed bridge in Minneapolis. It was 40 years old, but not of good design. I hope they build something beautiful and functional the next time.

As a keen runner, I have ran over some of the great bridges of this world; Sydney Harbour, Forth Road Bridge, etc. Would love to run this one.
It's a very high bridge but I wouldn't mind crossing it to cut out a lot of miles by avoiding the alternative longer way.
That bridge over the Tarn valley broke a few records such as having the tallest pylons in the world.
