I am Frustrated beyond belief~/Please read!

  Just had a conversation with my mom about 13 million spent on defending and losing court cases by the society.

  I argued that they can't argue against the Catholics when they themselves are guilty of the same.

  She replied she didn't care. (after sending them $100,000.00 dollars) She stated that the Catholic Church had spent billions defending them selves and if the JW's had only spent millions

  That the Society had spent Billions sending a message, and if I didn't like their message then leave her alone and the rest of the group.

  I am burning with rage......I was accused of trying to destroy her beliefs, and if I was not in agreement to reject the entire religion........which of course I have already done many moons ago.

  Okay, you are dealing with the indoctrinated cult follower. As one who does the same, I know that
  I must only dish it out in tiny portions, or my wife shuts down. You made your point and she
  won't agree. I can't say, "Just move on" because I know how difficult that is. Still, you can't keep
  forcing that horses head down into the water just because you led him to the stream.

  r, I get impression you're frustrated because your mother hasn't reached the same conclusions as you have reached. How does it help to argue with her about this when you know what her response will be? I empathise with you sense of frustration - but why keep putting yourself through these dead-end argmuents with your mother?

  Please do not stay frustrated.

  Many of us on this board have family members that are truly brainwashed and no matter what wrongs the WT commits, they will still by them.

  Once you presented the facts to her, let it go.

  She will only believe you when her eyes are truly opened. And unfortunately, that may be never.

  So sorry about your frustration, Restrangled. Sometimes it just seems so hopeless. But, then, you never know when one of those little seeds you planted will take root.
