There is another reason aside the money that will not go into the worldwide pedophile defense fund. It takes time. If I put a dollar in the lottery machine and get a scratch off, it is going to take a few minutes to play that scratch off (and more time if I win anything). If I play other lottery games, it also takes time plus I take more time checking the numbers. If I go to a casino and gamble, the hour it takes to gamble is an hour that could have been spent in field circus. The same for gambling at a horse race, playing Bingo (which is why you will not see Bingo at the Kingdumb Hell), or other gambling. They need that time to be spent in field circus.
The argument that people run into trouble gambling is specious. True, people do gamble to excess and suffer tremendously for it. But, just because a few do this, what is to say that the 99% of those who spend $50 gambling instead of at the movies or dining out that one night are going to run into trouble? I have never heard such specious reasons to not do something as the Watchtower Society generates. People also run into trouble drinking (getting drunk, wasting all their money on booze, and drinking and driving). But, they don't ban moderate drinking. Why is gambling, within moderation, any different? What's the difference between $1 spent on a beer and the same $1 spent on a scratch off? None.
