My son just asked if we can go to Fuddruckers tomorrow night.
And he didn't even see this thread.
Weird.

Okay. Somebody mentioned sauerkraut and I couldn't get it out of my mind this week. So
here's what I'm making right now:
Reuben: Two pieces Jewish Rye bread spread with butter (actually it's Smart Balance spread) on the outside
Inside is a slice of aged Swiss cheese on each piece
Lots of pastrami
Spread Thousand Island Dressing over it
Top with some good quality sauerkraut (rinsed so it's not too sour)
Fry in a hot skillet till nice and golden on both sides
Serve with a kosher pickle and chips of your choice.
very rare I have a burger....salad for me everytime....and cider
Medium Well, smothered with swiss cheese and mushrooms. Dip each bite in ranch dressing. Tomato wedges on the side, with blue cheese dressing.
One that looks kinda' like this:
Madame, my husband just left to get it.
top dogs are on the causeway of holden beach, nc a little twisty freeze Ice Cream joint beside food lion. Get the Carolina dog. indredible Sabbrette dog and jumbo. they are piled high with chili and slaw and there is so much on it they give you a fork.. the bun are butter toasted! One of the best dogs EVER. Plus its at the beach and the place if full a bikini clad babes, ans some even work like that.
gotta try one....oompa
I feel it's politically incorrect, but I just ordered Dominoe's.
Journeyon - reubens are the best! I love kraut on a hotdog, too.
My 2 favorite ways to eat a hot dog demonstrate my Yankee-Southern hybridization and the fact that I sometimes order only vegetarian hotdogs, shows that I have a deep rift within my soul:
Chili and coleslaw OR mustard and sauerkraut. Yankees often recognize the Yankee in me when I order hot dogs or polish sausage with sauerkraut.
oompa - I will have to visit Holden Beach, then. Sounds yummy. I'm holding you to your promise about how good those hot dogs are!
Chicago Hot dog....
The dog must be Kosher Beef, smothered in mustard, onion, relish, fresh tomato slices, fresh cucumber slices, a few hot peppers and a nice dose of celery salt.
Anyone who has ever had a Chicago dog....knows how good these are!
r.
Chicago Hot dog....
YES! I like the ones at Portillos!
