My fav hot dog (and I don't eat them that often) has bacon, shredded cheddar cheese and carmelized onions with a bit of mustard. Bun toasted on the inside only.

welcome to my backyard cook out!
Perfect Hot Dog, one from an outdoor vendor in TO's downtown district, yumm! Lots of cheese, bacon and onions, yeah, heart attack central!!
Perfect Hamburger, a bison burger, topped with chedder, mushrooms and carmelized onions with a great barbeque sauce, something sweet but tangy, I love Montana's AppleButter Barbeque sauce.
Ok now I wanna burger.
I think it's funny how long this thread is going... but man oh man all of it sounds so good!
Okay, here's mine...
Medium rare with cajun or hickory smoked salt seasoning...
Covered in crumbled blue cheese, melted on top...
Slices of extra-crispy bacon...
Slices of heavenly avocado...
Slices of pickled jalapeƱos...
Slices of sweet Vidalea onions!
OH MAN now I'm drooling like a Pavlov's dog!!!

a bison burger
Sweetface,
I visited a little place in Houston, TX that made Buffalo burgers. Man! were they good. I guess your bison burger is similar.
It was a place called Bubba's Burgers, I think.
I just read your fav, Baba Yaga. Other than the med. rare, yours sounds absolutely Divine! (I can't have any pink showing )
Messy with lots of ketchup, mayo, mushrooms, cheese, and lettuce.
Hot dogs are a very processed food and probably also contain monosodium glutamate to boost a weak meaty flavour. Home made burgers are much healthier and easy to prepare. I mix pork mince with cinammon, parsley and finely chopped onion (egg is an optional ingredient) to make a nice burger.
Based on my northern NJ roots:
Hamburger: White Mana, (The one with one "n" in Hackensack, not the 2 "n" version in Jersey City).
Hot Dog: An "All the Way" dog, (Chili sauce, minced onions, mustard), from The Hot Grill in Clifton. Add a side with fries with cheese and brown gravy...
This is making me want to go for the two hour drive north...

One lb Ground Round
One small onion, finely minced
1/2 lb mushrooms, finely minced
1/2 tsp salt
One large egg
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 cup quick cooking Oats
Mix all ingredients together very well. Form into 1/4 lb balls, roll in unbleached white flour, press into nice flat patties. BBQ to desired doneness. Serve on soft whole-wheat bun with ketchup, mustard, one thick slice of ripe tomato and a crunchy inner leaf of lettuce.
Serve with seasoned home-fries and a glass of something very cold and fizzy.
Go back for seconds. Crash on couch and watch some classic movie, Alien III: Resurrection maybe? Halfway through the movie, pause, raid the fridge for an Eskimo Pie and a glass of milk. :)
