Yeah! Good for you! The best part is that your kids will have freedom from the borg. You're paying a lot more in child support in a week than I got in a month, and I had full physical custody. The finances may hurt...but the outcome to your ordeal is priceless!

Yes the financial situation is alittle hard to bite, but these things do not continue for ever, I hope your ex and yourself might consider starting a collage fund for your children

Glad to hear you got joint custody. I had to suffer with less than ideal circumstances almost 20 years ago when my JW wife went for the divorce. It all turned out OK with the kids as they figured out that Dad was right in less than two years. I even managed to keep all my pension, too. When her lawyer asked for 1/2 of my pension during a joint conference, I looked her right in the eye and said," retirement is over 20 years away and I might need all that pension to support myself, but you don't need it because Armageddon is just around the corner". She turned to her lawyer and told her, "let him keep it all, I'll never need it".
