You think they are going mainstream from here on out? I was of the mind to think they threw "Christ" in there to make them seem more Jesus friendly, just for once perhaps, even though we all know it was the same old things spoken from the stage as every year.

They are trying to go mainstream. Even the Mormans went mainstream and are now the fastest growing religion (at least in US). They will focus on Christ and his teachings.

I found a video clip on Youtube of a congregation just after they announced the theme for the 2008 District Convention. The theme will be:
"The End Just Keeps Getting Nearer-er and Nearer-er Everyday."
The Sunday talk will be "Follow The Example of the Apostates: They're Reaching More People Than You Are."
The empty seat in the back used to be mine.
